The 3DS is pretty fun, someone working in GAME let me play some Pilotwings. Tjhe only thing putting me off the 3DS is the battery life. 3-4 hours is pretty bad by and handheld standards.

@quicksaund Yeah, the battery life is stoopidly short. I wouldnt have minded the 3DS being a little bigger if it meant that the battery lasted say 6-8 hours.

@TrueBlueGamer Thanks mate :) I think the 3DS is great, graphics and power are nothing special really, but the 3D effect is awesome (once your eyes get used to it1). I'll be bringing out a gadget review of the 3DS very soon :)

@PlatformThirtyTwo yeah, to be honest i dont remember the full library of games for the launch of the console but it would be great to see something like dragon quest, 1 good game that i know my mother and i would love to buy is the new prof layton, unfortunately they only released it on japan i think. =(

@TrueBlueGamer The launch lineup was kind of weak to be honest. Super Street Fighter 4 3D is probably the best of the bunch so far, but we have mario and zeldas to look forward to, plus resident evil in 3D and metal gear solid!

Thanks for doing this review Ian its the first game review ive seen for the 3ds so far any review i come across is hard/software reviews so this is awsome. I have the first game for the gamecube and am a slight fan of monkey ball but not a big enough fan to get the 3ds specificly for that lol i think im holding out on the 3ds until a game really worth gatting comes out, yeah ive heard from a few people that motion controls messes the 3d up so thankfully the analog stick is awsome

@daveKoRnfan The motion controls are great if you set the game to 2D, 3D won't work because tilting the screenmakes you lose the 3D 'sweet spot'! More 3DS reviews coming up including Rayman 3D and Rabbids 3D :)

cool review, it's a shame the mini games are not as good as they were on Super Monkey ball 1 and 2. i use to love playing them with my mates after a night down the pub, so much fun.
