True, Puerto Ricans don't speak like Gallegos of Galicia, or as in Latin America in which Gallego just means Spaniards from the mainland peninsula of Spain. But we are known as Isleños, not Gallegos. Our accent is the father to the accent of Puerto Rico, Cuba, Domincan Republic and Venezuela. Saludos.

Many Puerto Ricans are White on the island, and many Nuyoricans are very mixed, but there are mixed ones on the island and a few White Nuyoricans as well. But it seems the Nuyoricans want to identify with Amerindian heritage, even Black, but neglect their European heritage, when many are more European than anything. Sad.

They can pursue education and get grants and student loans. There is a way out. Yeah, some like to exploit black blood in some Puerto Ricans, but again, not all Puerto Ricans have it.
