  • What Was The First Knife?

  • @HaliG98 ...Emerson "La Griffe."

  • @HELLZZARMY Thanks , Do you Know Were there made and if they're Legal?

  • @HaliG98 ...they're from Ernest Emerson. One of the great knife-makers of our time. You can get them from the Emerson website or any other place that sells Emerson Knives. Just run a search in Google.

It's legal here and I would hazard a guess in the rest of the States but, don't rely on that. Check the laws where you live.

  • wonder what the NYC gun laws are.. just shoot them in the leg

  • EXCELLENT as always. God bless my friend.

  • The delta dart man! Love it. But why so mean are people in New York really that big of assholes (probably). And those laws are gay.

  • i want the safemaker 2 push knives

  • it's also illegal to have any part of your knife exposed not just the clip and it must not come to a point and you must have a valid reason for a knife. Self defense is not legitimate. fuck NYC knife laws

  • different knife every day

  • I have a question, in my contry (Denmark) you are not alout to carry anny kind of thing you can stik in to other people (it could be a screwdriver) and i think it is a good lav. so why even carry knives???

we say that its only pussies who carry weapon!

  • @egmont3 ...So that's what you call soldiers fighting in war and someone using a knife or gun to protect himself or loved ones from attackers...lol! Better to carry nothing and go into battle or let your wife or girlfriend get raped. I sure in ancient times your people in denmark used swords, axes, etc...to protect themselves and their village.

    ***You are a world-class IDIOT...lol!***

  • @egmont3 u are also gay and denmark is filled with pussies who cant use a knife anyway

  • @MrMacrulz Ever heard of "Vikings?"

  • @egmont3 Knives arent just weapons by the way....

  • @egmont3 Haha, how is any law banning weapons good? Thats means less weapons in the hands of LAW ABIDING citizens. Criminals aren't going to abide by the those laws by any means. So, to sum things up. Bad guy has big knife, I has nothing. Bad guy kill me. I are dead.

  • @egmont3 i carry a knife just about everywhere i go its not so much for protection but for utility purposes but its pretty nice to know you got something in your pocket just in case some thing happens so if that makes me a pussy so be it ill still be able to kick your ass

  • @egmont3 I SAY A MAN WITHOUT A WEAPON (EVEN A SLICK) IS NO MAN AT ALL

  • Check out the Livesay Zipper. Really cool neck knife, works well too.

  • any thoughts on the crkt, rsk mk-5?

  • @crack818 ..sorry no I don't (haven't heard of it until now). But, you can't go wrong if Doug Ritter had some input in the product!

  • good stuff JT , which neck knife do you favour in general, i know different situations require different answers, but in general which would you carry mate? also did you ever check out the fenix tk12r2 flash?

  • @feiz01 ...sorry about the late response. With some many viewers comments, e-mails, and PMs pileup daily and if I go away on a trip or get seriously ill (both happen recently). It gets worst as I'm not actively whittling away at them.

In any case, I favor the HideAway Knives (HAKs) their versitile as you can use the knife and still handle a tactical light and/or firearm. No didn't try the TK12..I use Fenix's TK-11...and also use the LD20 a lot in my EDCs, and I use the TA21 & TK30 at home.

  • Haha.. guess that wasn't a CRKT Sting.. looks just like one ^^

  • haven't watched vid yet(loading) but isnt that a CRKT sting on the left? I'd never have considered wearing that one on the neck.. I like the straps that come with it.. and strap to calf/ankle.. I've got 2 of those.. I also have the CRKT crawford triumph, which I'm not a huge fan of(great look, not great blade in my opinion)

    Anyway, like the vids

  • you cant have a pocket clip showing in nyc or ny state?

  • I like knives as much as the next bloke but some of you fellas scare me.

    Grip...get one.

thanks for the vid tho :)

  • that second to last one ive got that exept its some cheapie brand its not CRKT. it said on the box Hunting Knife lol

  • Nice video, bro. I subbed.

  • Hey J T do you carry a neck knife all the time . I have tried to get one but so far I have had no luck in getting one . What neck knife would you say is the best

    JOHN

  • And that is why I will NEVER live in a liberal, commie lovin'ass run state like NY. NEVER! The people there are sheep, letting their local government run all over them. The police say they can not protect you, and they won't let you protect yourself? Bullshit! Screw NY.

  • I love your enthusiasm about the pointys! U made my night:)

  • LOL "...while you're slicing the douche bag up!"

  • lol my new favorite knife reviewer!!!

  • holy shit ...is this guy for real !! "it'll pass through a metal detector "...."punched holes in a sumbag with this " WTF :D

  • love the videos dude i am looking at getting one

  • have you ever stabbed any one

  • @bigbroef ...that would be an understatement...but, I don't tell war-stories unless were in a bar and you're buying me drinks.

  • I live in New York City and i always have a tactical folder with the clip exposed and I have never gotten arrested for it or even had a cop talk to me about it.

  • @djbomber9 ...well you've been lucky!

Because of your new laws Emerson Knives, True North Knives, and other companies won't even sell/ship knives to your State.

  • nice turn of phrase three ways to Sunday.

  • Just checked my local laws about knives.Turned out I can carry a fixed blade of any lenght concealed or even openly so I will start carrying a neck knife.

  • I just got the stiff kiss for a daily carry knife. Its comfortable to carry in my pocket It just doesnt inspire a whole lotta confidence for self defense.I would use it in a pinch but it seems flimsy and doesnt give me a great grip in my hand.Just my two cents for what its worth hahahaha and it aint worth alot....Oh,and I hate the wedge grind .Im in no way critisizing your vid Im just giving my opinion of the knife I have, your vids a great! And so is your collection!

  • @MrWer1138 ...10-4...but, the "Best Knife" is the one you have. ie: the one in your pocket.

I'm currently carrying a Emerson CQC-12 (primary) in my rt./front pocket and a Strider DGG SMF (secondary) left/front pocket

  • monkey fists work good to tie to a knife so you can extract it from deep in your pocket.

  • Hey JT !!! I just became a member of IKC, and read that comment regarding neck knives. Since your last vid on neck knives, have you updated your collection with 2010 models?

  • @CHOSEN7X7 ...no not really. I do have a Becker Necker than I haven't done a video on yet.

  • La griffe mean the claw in french

  • Dude...Do you live in a war zone? if you really need that collection for defending yourself maybe you should think about moving...just saying.

  • @goodtimes616 ...you have to adjust your "mindset."

    The world IS a warzone...lol!

  • if you are interested in these 'tools', you miss a Fred Perrin, any !

inox , D2 or custom handmade (XC75 steel, all forged by himself), you'll back 'to the roots' of these kind of knives and feel the balance of a mature well elaborate item.

  • im sure you've heard of the crkt ringer knives those are some ruthless little bastards

  • jesus christ how often do you fucking get attacked?

  • Good video.

  • New York has the stupidest weapon laws. It took my uncle almost 2 years to apply for a weapons permit and for the state to turn him down and he has a spotless record minus a speeding ticket or two. It is near impossible to get a permit to carry a gun and now they don't let you carry a tactical blade efficiently. How are you suppose to defend yourself? Blow a rape whistle when you are being robbed/ attacked? I bet the cops would show up just in time to give you a noise violation ticket.

  • I really like the Cold Steel pen thing it's kinda BA!

  • These are some of the cutest little knives I have ever seen. But they are very surely deadly. I'd love to get my hands on one. Thanks for showing them.

  • "Id punch holes in scumbag, three ways to Sunday with this" im with you brother, thanks JT, ive never connected with a video as much as yours, i really enjoyed that, honest & true, "Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong." & pity the fool that trys to take what you have, take care man.. . .

  • i love the DELTA DART

  • Nice little collection.. your silly about blades like me. lol keep up the vids informative and interesting....G.V. Det,Mi

  • Is the second to last one you reviewed throwable? I just have a thing for knives you can throw.

  • @WiiCKeDxCLOwN110 ...sure but, I've never thrown it.

  • dude your a f'n boss i subscribed. lets see some kind of test of the delta im about to get one so im curious

  • Dart or letter opener as a shower defense tool?

  • space age prison shank lol

  • i REALLY wish the delta dart was metal. I don't doubt it could still do a good amount of damage though.

  • @bigchocol8te ...Cold Steel makes a Urban Dart (steel) but, it cost considerably more.

  • Good information. If people pay attention to what you are saying, it might save thier ass someday.

  • menace to the public! I cant believe the idiotic politicians, and there fucked up ways of infringing on the rights of the everyday joe. Here in Oregon I can carry just about any knife i want and no one has ever asked me about my knife, visually felt "threatened" by the knife, or ever been asked to not carry. Sorry New York! Id carry anyway, fuckers. in my mind, if you have never been in trouble for anything violent you should be able to carry anything you want.

  • u sound like rapist

  • @tommy14gorman ...yeah but, not convicted...lol!

  • these would make a great addition to the .45 sub compact i carry

  • your voice sounds like clint eastwood lol

  • @CarlChipSanders ...if clint sounds like a rapist, then that what I sound like...lol!

re: tommy14gorman "u sound like rapist"

  • CRKT is not making these anymore, you can get them from me at Modern Combative Systems.- George

  • Sacrifice have to be made...J.T.... would you consider running for President of the U.S.A? Looking forward to getting the BK 14 in 2011.

  • Yuh, I've been arrested twice and had to stay over night in jail, just because I had my pocket clip showing on my pocket knife..gotta love this shitty city!!

  • @roaming1978 ...Emerson Knives, True North Knives, and other companies won't even sell/ship knives to residents of New York.

Man...those laws gotta suck big time!

  • @roaming1978 Seriously lousy thing to hear....thought it might be written just not enforced. Knew a guy working Waldorf when Obama stayed there few months ago, got searched entering work, (Security) blade was legal length, he got knife back and was allowed to go to work. I went to court with a Swiss Army credit card multi-tool, it got confiscated, guards said they would return it, never did with all kinds of excuses...that sucked. Nail clipper could end an ass in jail in NYC. Gotten Wimpy!

  • this guy is bad ass

  • Hey J.T., This video, along with your one on linoleum knives, has always been one of my favorites. I must have watched it a dozen times. Your commentary always tickles me.

  • Man you got a passive agressive streak Xd *While you slice the douchebag up*

But hey, nice knives and I can't claim not to agree with you :P

  • @88Kamikaze69 Yeah, that's not "passive-aggressive". Look it up.

  • Comment removed

  • @lubbetheman ...like the POS (piece of sh*t) ones in your one video...lol!:P

Or the Emersons, Striders, Chris Reeve, REKATs, Warren Thomas, Limited Editions, Numbered Runs, Exclusive, etc...I have over 200 "REAL" knives!

Everyone can tell you that's was a STUPID comment...LMAO!!!

  • @HELLZZARMY do you have a jhon ek knife

  • @lubbetheman ...Winner of 'The Most Stupid Comment" left on a HELLZZARMY video...lol!

  • @HELLZZARMY The idiot deleted his comment. What did he say?

  • @Supermassively ...Winner of the "Most Stupid comment" left on one of my videos...Neck Knives (09-24-10):

lubbetheman "buy some real knives :P"

  • Good vid

  • "I'd punch holes in a scumbag 3 ways till sunday with this."

Dude, I think your my new hero!!

    FUCKING AWESOME!! \m/

  • there truly would be no way to render you neutralized, lol. You try to block his pocketknife, bam, neckblade. try to block the neckblade, bam, pocketknife! and i'm sure you know how to use those things too! badass man. (oh yeah, and watch out for his guns) lol

  • @TheAspiringOne...that's my layered defense system. And don't forget my Martial Arts training and fighting experience. I might just kick you in the nutzoids...lol!

  • Nice review. I pity the fool that fucks with you!

  • if i get a dank knive collection like you will i become psycho aswell?

  • @0lykperry0 ...perhaps, I travel a great deal.

  • Its not about becoming a Psycho, its adaptation my friend, you have to always adapt to your environment or get left behind, nature has show us this since the beginning of time, you need to be prepared in this ever growing corrupt society & be prepared for anything that criminal scum will throw at you, Once they treat you like prey the gloves come off & the claws come out, its then about survival, our most primal instinct, the reason we are all here is because our ancestors decided to survive,

  • You have a Benchmade Blue box, right? Does it come with a bit that fits the handle scale screws on the bear claw? I have one, and I've been thinking about making wooden scales for it.

  • @zanuha...Just checked and yes it does. The T8 bit fits perfect.

Wood scales with a nice grain pattern wood look cool!

  • @HELLZZARMY

    Thanks, you've been real helpful.

  • @HELLZZARMY

I drilled the screw base holes too far and the screws snapped. Now I can't even fit the original scales back on.

  • Do you live in Hawaii?

  • @JonItalia...10-4 chopper-one it's in my profile.

  • @HELLZZARMY lol I never look at the profiles. You just sound like some of the people I met when I visited Oahu.

  • @HELLZZARMY Howzz it! Kewl i used to work on cruise ship in HI for two years. Love the aloha spirit, and some of the pakalolo by the beach.

  • Emerson or the crkt which do u wear more , which one is better for self defense

  • @AceC1992 ...like any knife...the one you "have" is best!

Like I said in the video the CRKT Bear Claw's sheath and handle make it chunky but, it's a well made knife. I personally prefer my Emerson La Griffe over it.

  • i like the 3rd one, looks like something manufactured in the SHU in pelican bay

  • newyork is a communist territory

  • i like this guy

  • What do you think of the Coldsteel counter tac 2? Or the Mantis TA-2 Seymour

  • @AceC1992 ...seen them haven't had the oppurtunity or desire to buy one. They look cool. Just can't own every knife made...other choices won out.

  • @Charkoly2 ...modern day polymers.

  • where do you find those hide-away-knives

  • @ChAnDoN864430 ...mainly from hideawayknives website (click the link in the additional info section.

Or search google. I've also seen them on sale on eBay, Amazon , and Fenix Outfitters. But, check out the hideawayknife site as they explain how to measure/sizing to get the right fit.

  • word, man i love your collection aye neck knives are awesome, they are handy when you need them wether it be for self defence or even for EDC, her in Aus there are so many knife restrictions and bans on all the awesome knives like balisongs and switchblades, i got a knife confiscated by customs because apparently it looks to dangerous for a civilan to have, bunch of ass holes. because of these restrictions i dont carry my balisong or switchblade around but luckily i have my neck knives lol

  • I Love neck Knifes Too !! --- One Of my favs Is the Cold steel mini tac ---Great Vid !!

  • these seem pretty handy, but laws in the uk r so strict about knives.

  • i wouldn't waste a knife that nice on some D-bag attacking me... i wouldn't mind it though. >=D

  • damn good review

  • You can't carry a pocket knife with the clip exposed???? Welcome to Amerika...what is happening to our 2nd amendment? First our knives then our guns, ya know the Jews were disarmed in the same manner. Wake up people!! Good video by the way, nice collection

  • Live by the sword, die by the sword.

  • i make my own sheaths out of concealex for all my knives and i put rivets in them, i mainly buy tek-lock belt clips for them because i dont really wear anything around my neck and i make them very concealable even when wearing a tight shirt with no jacket on or anything. but since i use rivets i culd also turn them into neck knives. ive never made one for anyone but myself but i suppose if any1 is interested you could send me a message and i could do a custom one to your liking.

  • aren't triangle blades illegal because it makes it near impossible to stitch up?

  • @Iamninjaronin ...haven't seen any specific laws relating to triangle shaped blades. But, I don't know every law in every State...not to mention Federal laws.

However, your right about triangle shape blades avery difficul wound(s) to deal with but, not impossible thanks to modern medicine. You're the 1st to mention it though.

  • @HELLZZARMY this is so but only in a millitary sense. normal civies can carry them

  • @Iamninjaronin Triangular blades are against the Geneva convention. But no-one listens to it, so you're good.

  • @Iamninjaronin triangle blades are against geneva conventions for militaries of the world. I don't think any laws prohibit them in the US.

  • @Iamninjaronin just so you know the triangle shaped blade isnt illegal as in state or federal law but it has been banned by the geneva convention because it is deemed as cruel and unusual punishment because it can not be easily stitched up and usually leads to death

  • i subed 2 ur channel

  • @DrShakalu619 ...thanks.

  • lol, you have compassion for your enemies the compassion to buy really painful knifes. love the review

  • the delta dart a edge right haha i probably just sound my self sound stupid

  • @mustangfootball63 ...it has a dull edge...more suitably used for stabbing.

  • those are perfect for self defense just wip it out cut their neck open

  • keep it simple stupid...lol... never knew that

  • i just got a new cold steel delta dart wht do u do when they get dull

  • @bmxforme1 ...haven't dull mine yet but, use a bastard file (hand file) to reshape and sharpen it. Or a belt sander...

  • good video

  • holy shit i would not want to robe ur house damn

  • Knives are not made for killing they are made to ease your living...

  • @ac0unt ...By "KILLING" your enemies, attackers, betrayers, scumbags, lawyers, betrayer, etc...lol!

  • @HELLZZARMY Well you can use it to defend yourself when it comes to an emergency btw life and death situation ^^ than give it all you have even if you already have a machete trough your neck xD

  • @ac0unt hahahahahhahahaha, thats good. knives ( and other edged weapons) have been made for killing since before time itself

  • cool, I am looking for one cool necker.

  • HEY ARE NECK KNIVES LEGAL IN NY

  • @maeLoveish ...I DON'T KNOW. I LIVE IN HAWAII.

  • i said it before and i will say it again you do some cool videos

  • @VGMearini...thanks man...Emerson Super CQC-8 coming up next...

  • Yo' HELLZZ! It's me again, hey check, if you ever feel like getting rid of any of those little toys (selling m'), be sure to give me a shout ok?

  • Don't let them know you have a knife until it's time for the knife to do it's work. Nice Columbia River, and I like that Dart (something a little different).

  • i am looking for a self defence blade for my GF.. just wondering what your opinions are.. neck knife a good option?

  • you just became my new best friend!

  • Its the taxi driver of knives!

  • do the delta darts break easy since they are made of plastic

  • it's made of a nearly indestructible polymer...wouldn't break through normal use.

it's not like a plastic knife or fork...you would have to take a hacksaw, bandsaw, put it in a vise a bend it beyond repair, use a blow torch or some kind of flame if you really wanted to break it.

  • @HELLZZARMY how many knives do u have all together

  • @bmxforme1...over 200...a little over 100 seen in my videos...

  • Helzzarmy - I know you've probably been asked this before. But say you could choose just one knife to have when you were attacked or threatened- which one would you want?

  • Most people realize I carry a minimum of (2) knives.

But, if it would have to be just one...it would be an Emerson...CQC-11, CQC-8, CQC-7...basically any Emerson tactical folder.

the next one I plan on getting is the CQC-15.

  • @HELLZZARMY could you do any test with that delta dart i want to see how durable it is ? ^^ (i hope you dont mind asking me )

  • @RoyalAlba1 ...people who watch my videos know I don't take request but, what you suggested is something I've been thinking about. Seeing if it will puncture 1/8 or 1/4 inch plywood.

But, if you haven't heard I can't upload any videos since this past Wednesday...a bug or glitch affecting some youtube partners and believe me when I say I've tried everything.

Well going to try something else in a day or two...if it doesn't work well I'm busy trying to open a small business and training.

  • @HELLZZARMY ok i understand man ^^ and i do watch your videos but not all of them because some items i am not interested in but it is not because you arent interested :D

but anyway thanks for the reply and good luck with your small business and training ^^

  • are these intended for slicing throats?

  • Someone trained with a knife would go for your most vulnerable areas such as the throat. One technique is to stab right through one carotid artery through the trachia and out the other carotid artery.

Study human anatomy,,,sub-clavian artery, brachial artery, abdominal aorta, etc...

"the smaller the knife the higher your skill level needs to be..."

  • "Knife fighting is a dangerous and unforgiving endeavor that no one in his or her right mind would ever engage in willingly.

Even those who are adept in the use of the blade may emerge victorious and still sustain life-ending injuries in an actual knife fight.

That being said, cultivating skill with the blade can greatly increase your odds for survival should you ever have to engage in knife combat."

  • "Space age version of a prison shank" lol

  • Can you tell me is the Cold Steel Delta dart a strong knife ? and is it easy to conceal ?

  • super-strong polymer...virtually unbreakable under normal use.

Yeah use it as a neck knife, remove the chain and ring a conceal it in a boot...use your imagination.

  • Not sure exactly what it is...Emerson's Black-T finish?

    It's basically a matte black finish...not powder-coated.
