I was so into Basia in the late 80s and still am really. It's mad how, unless you got onto Top Of The Pops (in the UK), no-one ever saw your videos. She was never successful in the UK, so I am going though YT watching all her videos I never had a chance to the first time around :-)

Yes, I love this song. I heard it first when I was in the Philippines at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino in the fall of 2007 in Cebu. Now, when I hear Basia sing this beautiful jazz/samba sound, I think of the pretty girls of the Philippines.

The booklet which came with the CD, which I bought in September of '97, has the lyrics for "Baby You're Mine" and accompanying the lyrics is a little illustration of two stick-figures holding hands as though walking down a distant beach somewhere. I have always reflected on how sweet this seemed. I'm stating this without looking at the booklet that is. If memory serves.

I had the pleasure of meeting Basia and Danny briefly at a signing they did in New York when "London Warsaw New York" came out. It was well worth waiting on the line for 2 hours. They were very genuine and friendly to everyone, posing for pictures with fans even when the security guys tried to object. Basia is a doll (and my favorite singer).
