it's probably because her voice is kind of haunting, and that fading out/delay of her voice isn't heard because of the guitar.

@SirMatthiasXC That's one reason. The other is that Imogen's version is built on radically distorting her beautiful voice to create a full track. And that's fascinating. Antoine's approach is based on the purity of guitar sounds. So, in a sense, they are the exact opposite of each other. It's like you mix black and white, and the result is dull gray. imho.

You need to make the guitar a bit more quiet, tbh. Since guitar is usually quieter in the background, I still like it... its just not quite what I was hoping for. Like for the effort and time you put into it, though.

I would say both artists have a straight forward tempo that is consistent throughout, respectively. Imogen picks up the tempo in the second verse, whereas Antoine grooves out w/ pick at a slightly slower clip.

For those of you that just love to look for inconsistencies, the only pitch clash is in 2:21, where Antoine repeats the same chord from 1:14 (A, B, D#, G#) and Imogen plays a D the second time. Logical reasoning for this: open D# string, D natural is too low for the voicing.

Great job on this! Personally I think the guitar needs to be faded to the background a little bit...there are parts where the two pieces are really fighting each other to be heard. Not that Antoines playing shouldn't be showcased front and center, its just in this particular instance...It sounds better mixed a little quieter and let the vocals stand out. Just my 2 cents.
