I believe something special is happening in 2009... I don't know, just that ALOT of great movies have been schedueled for 2009 since about 2007 now...
so theres "Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs" and then theres the video game "The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon." who copied who on the name? i think ice age copied the name from the spyro game because dawn of the dragon was going to come out LONG before i heard any mention of this movie.
I do understnd that animals cant talk.But After seeing Barnyard (ALL the cows have udders even the males)I cant help wondering if these days childrns minds are being destroyed by INCREDIBLY incorrect childrens films.the ice age was millions of years after the era of dinosaurs,its just completly unbelievable finding'by chance'a tyranosuarus rex living in an underground cavern that appears to have a thriving ecosystem and warm climate under the ice.But since its a multi $million its a mustseemovie
Actually, I think this kind of film will inspire children to find out more about dinosaurs and their time period. It's all a bit of fantasy - things like this can't be hurting their brains anymore than some of the things that are going on in the real world.

Anyway, I too felt a little disturbed by the incorrect details in the ice age saga but alas, it is but a fictional film and if a child (or their parents) can't tell the difference between reality and fiction, that's not the filmmakers' fault.
Well I was wondering what the hell was going on with the dinosaur thing. They actually mention in Ice Age 2 that Dinosaurs were extinct so maybe it's going to happen in a different way. Something like them discovering scratst time machine
Anyway, at the age group this is targeted at, kids wont really take in these type of things. And if they were old enough to take it in, they'd learn rather quickly about the truth in school... Otherwise, the school is crap and they wouldn't have known anyway.
Not to mention that the animals starring in the movie lived on different continents and even different eras, most long before, some after the ice ages.
It's comedy and definetly not to be taken seriously.
Btw animals, which we humen also are, communicate with their own language, allthough not as accurate as ours. We can even use these voice/body signals to get a message trough to certain extenct :)
lol, this movies gonna pwn Dinosaurs ftw!!! Although the poster for this is a lil not realistic, the T-Rex's head is as big as the mammoth, which is way off proportion. But nonetheless gonna be good movie to see. Also on a side note be sure to go see The Forbidden Kingdom in theaters 4/18/08.
