My best is Lucario, second is Pikachu and Falco. I don't know the tier list and I don't want to hear it. I can beat just about anyone (I know someone can I just haven't met him/her/them) and I agree that Ike is for people with dificulties killing people.
So basically play whoever you want. Screw the tier list. It's a bit smarter to pick a character with more good matchups, the ones who are higher up, than the ones on the bottom with very few good matchups. But you could still get to a competitive level with any character in the game. It's just easier with some than others.
i'm sorry... ike is way too predictable. slow as all hell and has a less than spectacular recovery. He's good in multiplayer matches of 3 or 4 , but 1 on 1 he's not so great. If you get a kill with ike's smash attacks your opponent is either really bad or you got lucky. I have to go with dalubot on this one. Ike is just too slow...
i can beat any char with no projectile if you use him right. he can beat everyone but when he comes in contact with a chara with a nice projectile then he has trouble. other than that he is a really good chara and has way more defense than offense when you master him. yes he can be prodictable in the hands of a predictable person but all in all it depends on who has the controller

Weruop, one of the top olimar players consistently recovers. I rarely see him get edge hogged, mainly because of his superb di. One example of his recovery techniques is to simply throw Pikman at the person hanging on the ledge. Mk's IDC is banned. Stages with walls where you can get infinite chain grabs are banned. The fact that you don't know these simple rules, just goes to show your complete lack of experience.
Ps~ if you get infinite chained grabbed on a wall, you suck.
Honor is not looked down upon. People who use it as an excuse to limit themselves are. You can be competitive and still be "honorable". When you play someone in tournament, show respect by greeting yourself before a match. Shaking hands afterward. Discuss the match in an open and insightful manner and be friendly in general.
Also, the only way to improve and help others improve is to play at your fullest potential. You and your friends wont ever reach your limit, playing by your rules.
How would you feel about a game if everytime you played someone, they crushed you? You wouldn't want to play it (tis why I never liked Halo) and would rather switch to something else. @dalubot9300 Dalubot, en realidad Metaknight es el mejor personaje de brawl. Ataca demasiado rápido, se recupera demasiado rápido y se mueve rápido tambien. Con metaknight puedes hacer combos, en cambio con Ike no puedes hacer demasiados combos (sólo 2 o 3 que pueden fallar a veces)
Ike es muy lento, pero golpea muy fuerte. A mi me parece que muy en general, los personajes de brawl están bien equilibrados. Yo juego con Ike y no me parece tan malo. Es sólo cuestión de calcular el golpe.

well ikes my best character and i figured out that he is pretty cheap but i practice and now i can pwn faces up without being cheap. Sure his smash is cheap at times but its usually the opponents fault for running in to the attack like an idiot.

@dalubot9300 Dalubot, en realidad Metaknight es el mejor personaje de brawl. Ataca demasiado rápido, se recupera demasiado rápido y se mueve rápido tambien. Con metaknight puedes hacer combos, en cambio con Ike no puedes hacer demasiados combos (sólo 2 o 3 que pueden fallar a veces)
Ike es muy lento, pero golpea muy fuerte. A mi me parece que muy en general, los personajes de brawl están bien equilibrados. Yo juego con Ike y no me parece tan malo. Es sólo cuestión de calcular el golpe.

@dalubot9300 Sí, Es que por ahi decías que MetaKnight era fácil de usar y en realidad es uno de los que más nivel requiere. Como Falco, Jigglypuff o snake.
Aunque yo prefiero a Ike. Lástima que no lo hicieran tan bueno... Ike merecía más respeto en este juego! :(

@tomaspepino Ike is one of the hardest to play with characters of all time. Because he is so slow and vulnerable. And don't judge a character by it's final smash.

im just saying, u used a smash on him when he was at 49% damage, and i can understand the part where u killed him, but when he spawned u were about to use ike's fsmash. so basically u were using smashes on him even though he was low damge and u didnt use any other attacks

Both of them are cheap. He's been cheap since he came out. You didn't make him look cheap.

well ikes my best character and i figured out that he is pretty cheap but i practice and now i can pwn faces up without being cheap. Sure his smash is cheap at times but its usually the opponents fault for running in to the attack like an idiot.

True. I started training a bit with Ike now. Best thing to do is wait until the smash is done, and run up to him and do whatever you want to take advantage of his lag.

Cheap? Try slow. Sonic can punish the lag on Ike's F-Smash from all the way across FD.

sorry about that, that was two years ago when I was very anal about tiers and such. Also, every time I beat someone, they said the character was broken so I had to keep switching. Thats besides the point though, and I'm sorry for being an idiot.
