Someone get me a chair because even on youtube I faint at the first sound of her voice. My mother always taught me to march to my own drum and that's why a little black girl from North Philly who grew up to Streisand and every Broadway/Musical film on the record player can say with such pride that Ms. Streisand is probably one of, if not the greatest, singer of all time.

That all these years later she can sing that title song with the same intensity is a modern miracle. On A Clear Day is, by far, my favorite Streisand vehicle. Sir Cecil Beaton knew how to make her her most beautiful, Deborah Kerr coached her accent perfectly for her scenes as Melinda Tentrees, and Streisand's performance is a tour de force. The "Warren? Get off my roof!!f" scene is classic.

Holy Toledo--she sounds so incredible here, even if she's tuned the song lower. Still has all the power, though, more control and more warmth in the middle tones. She sounds better than the original, somehow.

I only recently really began listening to Barbra Streisand.I heard her singing "Send in the clowns" one day on the satellite T.V. and something happened to me.I start to cry when I hear her sing.This song is really beautiful ,just something about it.The melody and the lyrics in this song do something to me and the way she sings it is just so beautful.Her voice is magic! I recently aquired "Funny Girl" on 8 track tape and am collecting vinyl and cassettes of her.
