To all of you that thinks AUI is for thief's children , who get easy marks and don't have to study. Actually my mother is a doctor and my dad is a top manger in the Moroccan post office (directeur). They have saved money for me so I can follow my dream and study economics in english (rather in french which is worthless). I thank god every day for that. and I study as hard as I can.

AUI don't give easy grades. Indeed, many students who failed more than twice have been expelled.

akhawayn is an AVERAGE university in morocco maybe one of the good PRIVATE schools in morocco but compared to the public schools, alakhayan is far behind.

i've never heard of someone in morocco who had the opportunity to go to LES GRANDES ECOLES or ISCAE or THE MEDICAL SCHOOLS and chose to go to akhawayn. come on, let's be honest.

I think that before anybody makes any assumptions about the university's curriculum (if you could go to Harvard instead of some other Moroccan university, you'd probably go to Harvard cuz of its educational privileges... and no, I'm not comparing AUI to Harvard, it's just an example), or about the kind of people that go there, they should do a little research.

The fact that people can afford AUI because their parents are hardworking people and know how to save up money for their child's education, or the large number of students who just happen to be smart people (whether you like it or not) and who are privileged to get a scholarship, does not mean they are all "fils/filles papi/mami". As about what kind of people go to the university, it all depends on that person, not on their social standing.

If people in other Moroccan universities make it to the top, good for them, if AUI students make it good for them too. Just don't make assumptions about the whole idea of "elite" that go there, cuz you find elite people in other universities, but you just don't hear about them cuz their university wasn't an initiative by the King and located in the middle of nowhere. I'm not hating on anybody, I just want people to know that there is more to AUI than what people hear.

Well, just because "Most" moroccans cannot afford AUI's tuition doesn't there aren't ones that can ! Plus, this university offers many scholarships to intelligent students (me included XD) !!!!
