I love the short story this movie is based on, and I like this movie a lot too. But what the hell is this trailer? It looks like somebody saw the "Clockwork Orange" trailer and said "Hey, I can do this faster and even more incoherently!"
@Eveco1000 Yes, this innocent little film surely isn't as shocking or obscene as a modern movie gem like "Predators." Similarly, the Satryicon, being ancient, outdated, pedantic Roman literature, couldn't possibly hope to be more interesting than Twilight (that towering display of 21st century ingenuity)!
@StinkyGreenBud Maybe you should try the game before you call it shitty, its actually a very good series of games, so please, just keep your mouth shut about things you don't understand.
@StinkyGreenBud Have you ever played any of the games in the series? You'll realise its not "shitty", so please, keep your mouth shut about things you don't understand.
OMG.... the Makers of Fallout 3 totaly stole the idea from the movie! there is a nuclear war between China and USA in this movie and in the game! in this movie the earth becomes a wasteland! in the game to! and the most famous picture from the game is a boy whit a dog.
Stop talking about fallout 3 D:< Go to a fallout 3 video and talk about it or something. Don't get into one of your lame ass arguments about a history of a game.
Anyone remember this playing in theaters again in the early 80s? Guess the studio decided to briefly re-release it for whatever reason...........................
A boy and his dog is a really good movie, the trailer was a little suprise for me (so many colours and motion) while the movie was rather calm and quiet (except some scenes).
I think that mad max (especially 2nd part) is much different movie, it's closer to an action-movie.
I've played Fallout 3 once, for me it is excatly copy of mad max 2, and nobody should arque with me :)
On the Fallout wiki, they've got a page about this movie. They used things in this movie as a reference for the Fallout world, while still creating an awesome story and an amazing game. Who cares if they used stuff from this movie? It's more like an homage to a great movie.
bethesda never started the fallout series in the 1st place they just bought the rights from interplay and made fallout 3 the WHOLE fallout series where inspired by amd max and tons of other post apocaliptic movies novels etc and most of the fallout games where made by interplay and black isle really what bethesda did was just take a franchise already developed by a game company and they have the balls to say oh we got the inspiration from mad max the credit should go to the original compan
one of the movies Fallout ripped.. yes a lot of this people keeps saying every post apocalyptic games/movies coming out are ripoffs off Fallout.. sooooo wrong
I have never heard anyone say anything of that nature and if I do I pray someone shoots them I love the Fallout games but saying that Fallout influenced everything post apocalyptic is just stupid...BUT Fallout has influenced many things such as games and maybe a movie but it was a movie I never watched lol
u should see the people commenting Book of Eli.. and youd see them saying its a FALLOUT ripoff, when Fallout is actually a parody of post apocalyptic movies/stories
@everybodyhatesEJ Fallout didn't "rip" it. It referenced it. Fallout was an homage to so many films, and at the time of its publication this was obvious. Now, unfortunately, it isn't held in the same cultural context; it's been, what, 15 years since the first game? Most people today hear "Fallout" and think Fallout 3.
@everybodyhatesEJ Never heard anything as a ripoff from Fallout before, the entire Wasteland genre was inspired by this film and its original novels. Fallout was also inspired by this film.
@Rhetorikol quite a few people have claimed that Gearbox's game 'Borderlands' and Id's upcoming game 'Rage' are ripoffs of Fallout, regardless of when the games were developed or the game's storyline. It seems that nowadays anything in the desert is a ripoff of Fallout.
It's the story of a boy and his (telepathic) dog in post-apocalyptic America. Cool movie although women's groups protested it when it first came out. Something about hunting down the few surviving females and gang raping them bothered them. Go figure. Anyway, you can see it free at:
watch-movies-links(.)net
FYI-The new Star Trek movie and Angels and Demons are also there.
No, never, never, ever. If they ever remake this movie, I will personally hunt down those responsible and destroy them. I am so sick of hollywood trying to fix what ain't broke.
