  • Amazing... I love this song sung by this woman!!!

  • mmmm. i feel like a creature, with words that can't explain my thanks to the creator

  • wonderful

  • SUAS LEIS A' GHAIDHLIG! :)

  • Wow. Julie is truly incredible. I learned the song as a guitar solo a few years back, and have always thought it was one of the most touching songs I'd heard. Hearing it in Gaelic takes it a hundred times further into my weeping heart. @pduffy 1943, thank you for putting up a version of Gaelic. I am going to try to learn it. I don't know Gaelic, shame on me, but I can copy it if I can hear and see the phrases at the same time. Terrible accent, but Utahms wont know! wow.

  • Yes, Julie sings it so beautifully. Here's a version I wrote in Irish. Hope you like it. LON DUBH Lon dubh a’ seinm i gciúin na hoích’ Tóg do sciatháin bhriste is éirigh suas Fad do shaoil Tá tú a’ feitheamh leis an uair go mbeifeá saor Lon dubh a’ seinm i gciúin na hoích’ Tóg na súile dubh’ is breathnaigh síos Fad do shaoil Tá tú a’ feitheamh leis an uair go mbeifeá saor Lon dubh scaoil, lon dubh scaoil Isteach i solas dubh na hoích’

  • This and Julia were the highlights of The White Album Recovered 1.

  • Simply beautiful.

  • i agree with you two dogekko

  • A beautiful version of one of my favourite songs....makes me wish I could speak Gaelic

  • i agree

  • you can always learn.

    Its a magical language

  • @dogekko you should try learning it! :) I speak it fluently and I think of it as a fantastic gift to know more than one language, especially one that is as beautiful as Gaelic. And being from the Highlands, being able to say I speak Gaelic makes me so proud to be Scottish :)
