well actually LP is making a new genre of music according to Mike Shinoda(the rapper). Even before Minutes To Midnight, they decided to take the music in a different direction not always necessarily a softer or harder sound just a different one because they feel they dont want to be defined by one genre.

Well they do derive their brand of music from other bands, where they got their inspiration. There are plenty of bands out there a lot like Linkin Park. I'm just glad they're going back to the old style shown in Hybrid Theory, and Meteora. New Divide was a pleasure to hear after all the mediocre things they were putting out.

I don't think it's the worst song on the album, but I do wonder why it became the signature Hybrid Theory song. Papercut is the best song on the album, in my opinion. The worst but still a good song on the album for me is With You.

I never knew there was another version of a place for my head. best band ever. loved them when I first hear crawling on the radio when I was in 5th grade. they itroduced me to rock. best songs are pushing me away (not the remix) faint, in the end, a place for my head, don't stay, basically everything on hybrid theory and meteora. :). best bands ever are linkin park, guns n roses, pantera, metallica, and all that remains.
