The weekly Sabbath & the annual Sabbaths listed in Leviticus have nothing to do with each other as to when they occur. One is based on a weekly cycle & the annual feasts are based on visual observation of the moon cycles. Nothing is mandatory except obedience to our Creator, not because obedeience has any value in itself, but because it is evidence that we love our Heavenly Father. James 2 (starting around v 18)clearly discusses the need to show our faith by our works. It desn't work the other way around. Faith without works is DEAD.

i think there is not a better scripture to justify the sabbath day than the ten commandments Exodus 20:8. the commandments are principles from God to us. if he gave us this law was to love it and follow it. and if you actually think about it if everybody in the world would follow this law, there will not be all this fear for destruction, chaos, wars etc etc

While it is true that you provided a valid passage, it is also true that Deut. 5 clearly explain the reason and purpose of the Sabbath.

If you check this reason, then you will understand why after Christ there is no need to observe the Sabbath as mentioned by Apostle Paul.

I do know. The Bible says the dead know nothing (Eccl. 9:5,6,10) and do not rise again (Acts 2:29,34). John Paul will not rise again. I cannot say for certain this is what WLC had mentioned somewhere in their site, but something in fact very similar. It was a long time ago I had seen it.
