  • @ RatifiedCow I do still make knives. I do not supply any shops. I sell on my own. I am currently backlogged by nearly 7-8 months. I offer some for sale on eBay but won't have any custom knives for sale untill after Christmas. Thanks for the interest.

  • Do you still make your knives? Ive been looking but i cant find any! :/

  • Perhaps you'll notify me when you have time so I don't have to keep asking you...=|

  • @KorumEmrys Sure, I can do that. Not hard to remember since I don't have much action on my youtube vids, lol. I don't sell, make the "in", "fab" "fad for the moment" knives that are all over youtube, lol. I make classic style survival knives & sheaths. Although I will have a cheaper line of full tang bushcraft knives coming early 2012. I have been bugged too long, too often to do so after I made a few for my nephews and they displayed the pics, videos on their youtube channels.

  • Looking for a Beautiful Leather Sheath like those you make for: A Becker BK-9 with a sharpening stone pouch and firesteel loop-Please if possible; another for my TOPS Alaskan Harpoon-same as previous, and one for my Becker BK-5. If you could let me know what you'd charge and how long it would take I would appreciate it...I'd like them in the same brown as you used for the Camillus at the beginning of the vid...=) Thank You. =) I like the Stag handle and the black tactical knife too!!! =)

  • @KorumEmrys Sorry.....it'll be the middle of next year before I could make any sheaths due to backlogg.

  • THESE ARE SUPER QUALITY! I HAVE 2 AND BOTH ARE THE BEST OF QUALITY! YOU WILL NEVER HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH THEM. THATS MY GAURANTEE!.

  • @717sport Yes, the newer sheaths are great. The older sheaths aren't bad but lack a few newer material & upgraded crafting techniques which you learn eventually over time. I hadn't changed the techniques for years as I always stuck with what worked. I am going to do a part II to this vid to give people an idea of how the sheaths have changed. SUB & SEND FRIENDS REQUEST!!

  • KEEP IN MIND GUYS......THIS VID IS NEAR TWO YEARS OLD!!! FOR UPDATED DESIGNS AND NEWER KNIVES/SHEATHS SEE MY MOST RECENT VIDEOS!! SAVE THE SMACK TALKIN' FOR THE TEENIE BOPPER POSTERS WHO DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT!! THESE VIDS ARE FOR DEMONSTRATION PURPOSES OF MY WORK NOT TO BOAST ABOUT HOW I KNOW IT ALL! -THANKS!

  • If I am going to USE the knife/sheath I use Neatsfoot oil. Pick some up and apply with a NEW 1" paint brush. Apply it in warm weather, outdoors or indoors near heat if possible. Allow it to soak in a few hours. You can also apply mink oil after the Neatsfoot oil soaks in. If you are going to store the knife/sheath apply baseball glove oil on the sheath. You can also use the glove oil any time. This is just the way I do it. Other methods out there work just the same. Hope that helps.

  • What oil do you use on the leather? I'm trying to make a sheath for myself and I would like to use some

  • @stuff123995 Sorry, I replied to this but I guess it didn't post......I use Neatsfoot oil and mink oil. If you are storing a knife/sheath for long periods baseball glove oil is recommended. Neatsfoot oil isn't the same as the stuff my grandfather used. The chemistry has changed a little so that it doesn't destroy the leather if stored for long periods of time. All three mentioned will work fine. at least they do for me.

  • I should have went here instead of Bob Schrap. He completely destroyed a project of mine.

  • I'm actually really impressed with these sheaths, I may actually inquire as to the price, do you have a website?

  • @NemanorTheAlmighty Sorry, i've been moving my family, relocating my shop to Scottsdale, AZ. Our website is not up and running as of yet. Contact me here on youtube via yt email and we'll talk. Thanks.

  • Would you ever make a sheath for the BRKT bravo 1? if so about how much would it cost?

  • Comment removed

  • are you the one who made these sheaths? if so do you make sheaths for other people?

  • @thewistleboy My uncle made thissheath. Andrew Clifford. We have several sheath makers that work in our shop. Currently backlogged till around August of 2011. So, YES, we do make these sheaths for other people. If you are interested email/message us and let us know.

  • @acliffordknives August 2011!? why so long?

  • @thewistleboy It's called "backlogged".......I'm primarially a knifemaker, sheath maker second. I make sheaths for my custom knives first. When we have time I take custom jobs for sheaths. We currently have over 100 knives to kick out and with any item made by hand it takes time. Most of those are requests for ME, Andrew Clifford, to make their sheath which obviously costs more. My large custom survival knife sheaths can cost up to $300 each, no less than $95 for the smaller sheaths.

  • Do you do leathercarving on your sheaths, like oak leaves and acorns, or the basketweave. You'd have to use Saddle Skirting. But nice work.

  • @dulcelake 12oz burgunday tanned leather IS "saddleskirting".......I think you're referring to viggi tanned saddle skirting, right? Nah, tooling is easy to do but not on the "C-SHEATH" style of sheaths. We're Native American, tooling if for others to do.....neither of us ACK likes tooled leather sheaths and we never get anyone who wants tooling done. Looks nice but not starpped to my side!

  • Do you glue your sheathes before you stitch them?

  • @Livingnthewoods41 Thats the only way you can use more than one ply. I don't know of any sheath maker who doesn't glue them before stitching/handsewing them. Eventually, over time, the glue disipates especialy if you oil your sheaths for all weather purposes however, it doesn't matter as long as your stitching is tight. That is why I hand sew them using the "figure eight-8" technique along with copper rivets or 2pc nickel steel screw rivets.

  • Do you hand sew your sheathes or do you use a machine? btw nice sheathes!

  • @Livingnthewoods41 Hansewn, figure eight technique. Not even acsewing awl! I use a threaded heavy gauge leather ssewing needle and a pair of pliers! The figure eight, by hanbd, is the strongest sewing method you can use. A sewing machine AND sewing AWL uses the lock stitch method which is weaker. A sewing machine does sew tighter/stronger than you would think but I prefer doing it by hand. Takes about 40 min. per sheath depending on the size, well worth it in my opinion.

  • You are an artist.. Very nice. I have a Peloza for the carbon V SRK. I am not a fan of cold steel, but I think those carbon blades were actually made by Camillus.

  • @mesa401 Correct. Camillus, my favorite knife MANUFACTURING CO. of all time, did make knives for Cold Steel as well as about 20 other brands. Camillus could have been saved if people purchased their knives as opposed to knives from China, India etc. Peloza makes a good sheath, word is he and his brother, Mike, are going to start selling their combos...Mike Peloza knives with Vince Peloza sheaths. I'm sure they'll be nice knives!!

  • inspirational work

  • @neonpike Thanks, glad you stopped by!! Check back often, more vids on the way.

  • how much for a sheath for a hitler youth knife?

  • @Knifemaster464 Nah, sorry but I don't care to mess with these, reproduction or original. Plus I don't have time for a job like that. I have quite a few custom jobs to do. Try Vince Peloza, find him on Ebay by typing in "Peloza sheath". Sorry I couldn't help you.

  • no probs..excellent sheaths I have just started to make my own can you tell me what oil you have used on these....just been on the USA Ebay ( I live in the UK ) to check out your knives... Superb workmanship ....thanks

  • You want to us neetsfoot oil first, let soak in/cure for at least a day then apply mink oil.....I also let the mink oil soak in at least a day as well. This is just what I do i'm sure there are other people who do it differently. You should have no problems finding both oils in the U.K. IF you do then open an Ebay account and buy it there.

  • .very cool vids

  • AHHHHHHH, we got a comment -LOL-.....Thanks. I try to remember to take more pics and record more video's BEFORE packing them up and shipping them out. I have tons of really nice knives that I never got pics of. Check out my other vids and by all means subscribe to stay tuned!! thanks again...
