some people may say the SU was good in certain ways, and it probably was. but there was also the aspect that this movie treats, you couldn't do whatever you wanted. you could be send to prison just for listening to a certain kind of music or wearing the wrong kind of shoes. maybe you weren't in danger of being killed for money, but instead for your political views. hipsters are really supporting capitalism, and today we're all against that, but today at least we have the freedom of choice.

Communism by Marx is a perfect theoretical idea of just and equal society. However, its impossible to implement it in pracrice because of human factor. Human beings are always greedy and egoistic creatures competing for the better and warmer place under the Sun. Never ever humans will be able to build an equal society, because there always will be smarter, greedier and more cunning persons than others.

That's what we are: greedy and jealous animals, fighting for a better place.

People were executed, sent to siberia, etc. just for not believeing in communism. While capitalism may have it's faults communism takes away our individuality and, in essence, what makes us who we are! Trust me some of my friends are from Russia and they say that while there are bad things the pluses of capitalism outweigh the minuses.
