  • This just sounds like a typical conversation with someone with Aspergers.

  • i can't believe she can't believe that both i can't believe it's not butter and she stuff she can't believe it's not i can't believe it's not butter is both in fact not butter!

  • I believe that I Can't Believe It's Not Butter is, in fact, butter in disguise.

  • This may be one of the most brilliant pieces I have ever seen! I actually went through the lines and Alice actually makes sense!

  • Vicar: "But I do know one thing. This is not butter. This is

    Both of them: clotted cream.

Vicar: and do you know where it's going?

    Alice: In here?

Vicar: No, in MY mouth pot, now."

  • This blonde person is a freaking idiot.

    Explains the blonde!

  • @seborrg She is indeed quite a genius of comedy.

  • I can't believe it's stupid.

  • chuck norris CAN believe it's not butter

  • chuck norris CAN believe it's not butter

  • 'I think you think I shouldn't think....'

That would be another good one, especially as Geraldine is always against Alice thinking anyway, lol.

  • Basically she thinks that the I can't believe it's not butter people aren't telling the truth

  • Comment removed

  • Basically she can't believe the two butters are not butter. But in a cunning twist thinks that they actually might be butter.

  • 7 people can't believe that the stuff that's not I can't believe it's not butter, and the stuff that's called I can't believe it's not butter, that I can't believe its not butter... Ok I lost myself.

  • By saying generalizations are usually inaccurate, are you not then generalizing generalizations?

  • But I really can't believe that I can't believe it's not butter is not butter !!

  • Basically...

She likes "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" better than real butter. So maybe the real butter is the fake one? OR MAYBE THEY ARE BOTH BUTTER.

  • This woman is a genius!

  • Why is this a video response to Runescape - Mysterious Ticking Noise?

  • Did you hear they have a new bread spread made from nasal mucous? It's called "I Can't Believe It's Snot Butter"!

  • 7 people can't believe its not butter either...

  • Imagine if she did one about Hundreds and Thousands.......

  • I understand everything she says in this. Good ol' Alice ;)

  • I don't get it. Can someone tell me what she ist meaning?

  • You that Asda sell something called 'You'd believe it's butter.'

  • Shades of 'Burns & Allen'! Well played indeed!

    Say goodnight Gracie.

  • This is merely a weak re-hash of the ancient Abott and Costello "Who's on first?" sketch.

  • @bluenoserr

I know, and it's awful, and not funny. I hate to be mean, but the British just aren't funny to me.

  • @AllPro777 It's all down to the fact that we have totally different humour, we like sarcasm and irony, we can laugh at ourselves, take the piss out of anyone and everything. Americans, well......i hate to be mean but your comedy is a pile of mince, just so boring and not funny. No offence.

Just one question, if you don't like British comedy, why did you watch this?

  • @jss1886

    1. Who said I was American? Sounds like you have the common euro case of United States Hate disease. FYI, I'm from Canada (British Columbia to be exact) so I've been entrenched in British culture all of my life and I've always found British humor more boring than sitting through a funeral procession. It's common knowledge that most of the world doesn't consider British humor to be funny. 2. Your question makes no sense. If I DIDN'T watch it, how would I know if this was funny or not?

  • @AllPro777 And FYI i have family in America, so to say i hate America couldn't be further from the truth. Also before you go on about geography and give me a lecture that Britain is part of Europe, let me just say; im not European, im English. As for your nationality, i guessed.

If you've always found British humour boring, then you would KNOW that you wouldn't find this funny. So why did you watch it knowing it would not be funny to you? Is that such a hard question?

  • @AllPro777 As for most of the world doesn't consider British humour funny, as i said in my first post, we have a different sense of humour to others, you don't get it. We can have a laugh at ourselves, don't take things too seriously....you can't obviously.

  • @jss1886

I "get it" perfectly fine, I just don't find it funny. Believe it or not, one doesn't have to find something funny in order to "get it". This video is a perfect example of why British humor is not considered funny to most cultures; they're copying an American comedy routine that's as old as dirt and considered lame for someoone to repeat today, but they did it boldly like it was gold here, lol. Finally, I'm not taking it "too seriously", I simply responded to your post, nothing more.

  • @AllPro777 check it... you're responding to a youtube comment. You're not going to educate anyone on anything. also, you don't 'get it', thats friggin obvious! byyyeeee! if you respond, you lose!!!

  • @miracleworkingpower

You lose for that hardly insightful, pointless comment. One thing your approach does prove however, is that it's virtually impossible to educate the incorrigible, lol.

  • @AllPro777 I think it's fine that you don't find it funny. Not everybody has to find something funny, but you know you shouldn't attack it as "unfunny British humour", as that is really too general. As as thought, what is your type of humour? I personally enjoy a bit of nonsense, so I must admit this made my laugh.

  • @Bananianiown

If I don't find British humour funny, and I don't, then for me there is nothing wrong with the generalization. I guarantee that there is some culture on this planet where you will not find its humour funny and there'd be nothing wrong with that. My type of humour is anything that I find funny; it can't be described I just know it when I see it or hear it.

  • @AllPro777 Ah, I'm sorry- I am a philosophy student; I don't believe in generalizing anything.

  • @Bananianiown

I'm not sure that's possible. Human's by nature generalize things. Most of our opinions are based on generalizations. As a simple example, you go to a restaurant frequently and you've tried most things on the menu; you like most of the food, but some you don't. So even though you don't like everything on the menu, you feel that generally the food there is good.

  • @AllPro777 Well sure it's hard not to generalize to one who is not aware of it. However, I feel that since generalization is usually inaccurate, it is wrong to use. I tend to check myself before doing so and have to word my sentences in a way that emphasizes the variety that can be found even in a group of seemingly the same objects. Like the restaurant, I would say "Most of the food there is good", instead of just "The food there is good."

  • @Bananianiown Likewise, I would say from your standpoint that "Most British humour is unfunny" and not that it is just generally unfunny.

  • @AllPro777 How do you come to the conclusion that most of the world doesn't find British humour funny? A simple look on the ratings on Amazon would suggest most places find British humour funny; Monty pythin is really quite big in the states. A lot of people may struggle with regional accents or 'in jokes' which may put some off.

Coming to think of it, I can't think of a single comedy or commedian from Canada. Their 'humour' tends to be sarcastic and wind up.

  • @zaftra

I've read and heard the popular opinions of fans and media from other sections outside of British influence for years, and you'll constantly hear that they don't view British humour as funny. Monty Python is but one comedic team, it's also one that's been retired for decades. You might also bring up Benny Hill, who has been dead for decades. But those people are simply exceptions, not the norm. The accents are probably the biggest issue as many people do find them tough to understand.

  • @AllPro777 Actually, Benny Hill only died in the early 90's, not entirely sure what his death has to do with anything. What are these fans and media outside of British influence. You speak for the world, what about oriental, pan Asia, Russia, continental Europe, and other none English speaking countries who can view these with either subtitles or learned English. I think your probably reading what you want to read and interpreting it as you will; I could use the internet and find a.....

  • .....host of support from around the world for British humour. There's the carry on films, Peter Sellers, Charles Chaplin, Stan Laurel etc etc

I was thinking, A Canadian/ German series that was both funny and very good was Lexx, ironically the humour was very seaside picture postcard and quite British

  • Lol I love The Vicar of Dibley! XD

  • Omg - how does she do that! Lololol!

  • The best! How does she do that?

  • i think the butter called i can't believe it's not butter is actually butter with lower fat. could this be margerine? how about having something called i can't believe it's not margerine? :P

  • I Can't Believe...It's Not Butter

  • ...in a cunning disguise.

  • i understand it :P

  • What if, hypothetically speaking, both I can't believe the stuff that is not I can't believe it's not butter is not I can't believe it's not butter IS I can't believe it's not butter and the stuff that I can't believe it's not I can't believe it's not butter is NOT in fact butter at all, but MARGERINE instead? There's a question for the ages, right there.

  • @ryanharrisonisagimp I'm oddly able to follow her logic as well.

  • I can't believe that people can't believe that she can't believe I Can't Believe it's Not Butter is not butter, and the stuff that is not I Can't Believe It's Not Butter is not I Can't Believe it's not Butter nor butter.

    All pretty simple, folks

  • but she believes... "that they both might be butter...in a cunning disguise... and in fact there's alot more butter around that we first thought"
