To me, I'd say the Vette & Trans Am's exhaust sounded the same. I didn't care for this GTO's exhaust note, too deep, like when a Civic rider installs their fart cannons. But I've heard GTOs where they did sound awesome.

it's easy math take 15 times 385 and you get 57.5 now take 385 minus 57.5 and wow 327.5 wow easy math, i don't know what year your zo6 is but the 01 had the LS6 block, heads and cam so they ran about 25-35 more hp than the LS1, and were lighter, the 6.0 GTO ran the LS2 which made 440 to the crank and about 375RWHP but they were heavier than the camaro's and trans ams. if your zo6 ran only 385RWHP than u got some probs with that engine my man bc u should be in the 385-400RWHP range depending

its not WHP it's RWHP (Rear Wheel Horse Power) and all V8 engines loose 15% of there power transferring it to the wheels so if your zo6 ran 385 hp to the crank it would only have 328RWHP and that would make it the worst zo6 in history all LS1's that came in the 01 and 02 camaro SS, WS6 trans ams and corvettes ran 410 to 420 to the crank and 345 to 355RWHP GM high performance proved it last year got the articles to prove it.and trans ams and camaro's dont way 3700 pounds more around 33-3400

@FullThrottle214  Holy shit buddy. In 2001, the Z06 vette came with 385 hp. In 2002 it went to 405. Then in 2006 the ls7 was added and it went to 505. The ws6 TA in stock form is no match whatsoever to any Z06 corvette from years 2001 to present. I own a 2001 Z06. I have raced many, many TAs and camaros. My friend daves LS1(heavy heavy mods) dynod at 505 to the wheels and he just barely nudged me out at 160mph. He was surprised he did that well.My god google the specs retard.

@joeympower you do know that the 01 zo6 was an LS6 with slightly better heads,cam and thats about it it did run 385RWHP but the 01 T/A ws6 ran 355RWHP so take off the A/C and your almost an even match if you dont believe me GM high performance proved it last year they took 3 LS1 engines and all 3 ran between 345 to 355RWHP

@rangere3rd I dont know what camaros and ta's dyno stock, but my z06 put out 385 at the crank when it was stock. That means 340 whp if Im lucky. The specs the manufacturers give are never claimed whp amounts. Either way, I dont care if the TA is 400 whp, it is still about 3700 pounds so it has a lot of making up to do. Also I just ran a 6.0 liter GTO with the 6 speed on the freeway a few weeks ago. From 50 to 120 I had him by about 4 cars. he had an agressive cam, full exhaust and a tune.

I performed all the work on the WS6 and the z06. The ta has cnc ported ls6 heads, cam and long tubes the vette is cammed and long tubes each have alot of other mods. Tuning was done at Protune in lititz pa, Contact Technical Performance Automotive in Elizabethtown pa, for you diesel and automotive service and performance work:)

That was a stock trans am. Trans ams have infinite whorespowers but they automatically adjust depending on the car they are racing. Thats why the corvette loses.
