I have been looking on the net for TWO DAYS for a REAL Berserk Dragon Slayer replica...this is amazing.

How much time did this take to produce? I'm also interested in how much it was purchased for, if you sold it.

ALSO, VERY interested in what type of metal you used.

Makes sense. But even if it's a cool sword, it's damn near useles unless you can pretty much lug around a telephone pole to efficiently use this blade.

Still gets kudos 'cause I'm a Berserk fan. Nicely done.

he is a pro at making blades work. i think u can buy some blades from him, and they work, u might have to sharpen them after u buy em from him. i would get a Cloud blade and Guts blade from him if i were u guys, those r the deadliest ones he makes.

Hey! I think it'd be alot easier to have the harness held at a diagonal would make the walking, and crouching issue alot less of a hassle. And with the weight distribution of the blade, I don't think it'd matter if it was vertical or diagonal.

Nice design. I read your description and it made sense to me. mind you I never thought about that before. Good idea. Same would be the issue for Cloud Strifes sword too I imagine. Nice way to compensate the weight of the blade. And if whomever got this sword from you was cosplaying they could always pass your description on as it is valid and well pointed out.

Why is it that every person who posts a vid of them with the blade from berserk look like they just got off the boat of a viking vessel?

I'm not insulting, I just think it's a tad ironic that every person who I've seen who's posted of vid of them wielding a massive blade or axe has a thick barbarian beard and long wild hair. It's actually kinda cool really.

I can't believe someone was questioning the hanging position based off the anime. I would like to see a man swing it one handed with ease as Guts did in the anime. im sure you know and this is just me as a fan of berserk but the harness in wrong all it realy is is a hook and a leather thing with a chain holding it together that is what make the draw easier because all he has to do is lift it a little and then swing  because gut's style is based on a lot of full body swings and the two metal bars on the side prevents ease of a "quick draw" but im just ranting because I notice that

if you made the harness tilt slightly to the right or left you may be able to put it away and take it out more easily

No that wouldn't work; because of the sheer size and weight of the blade you would have more difficulty harnessing it diagonally while maintaining even weight distribution than if you were to have it vertically as shown (it'd probably be easier to walk with the weight more evenly distributed evenly too). In any other case with a more realistic sword you'd be right however, things would work so much better if we had anime physics to help us lol.

for a thing like that to be effective and not akward the weight would have to be on your shoulders not your hips

i back pack a lot and if the weight is on your shoulders you are going to get very tired very quickly. the weight is best placed on your hips.

perhaps a dual design would be best. the majority weight would be held on your shoulder to promote better balance and posture, and you would also have a part connecting to your waste to help relieve strain. wonder if such a thing is possible, though i've seen a few backpacks with a waist strap as well as the arm straps, so maybe

Weight is power! It's a really nice solid looking harness, but I would really prefer the diagonal harness used in the comic. Someone must have already said it but it would have surely made walking a bit easier, just not going through doors. Does yours use the ring on the guard to link to the top of the harness? Could you make something like that for a sword of mine that my dad has made. I could give you the exact size of it and everything, the sword is nowhere near that size but it is almost 4feet long and about 15lbs I just really want a way to carry it other than my sholder
