  • those rotten flat foots! ya go down there to have a good time and get fucked with by ass holes. its just wrong

  • stupid cops LOL

  • Who got hurt other than the ones arrested?

  • this is why no one wants to go out anymore and just stay home on there computers and do nothing This is just gonnna cost this poor guy an arm and a leg. thank fully they got rid of camera tickets in cali

  • "They could get you for just about anything" I feel like that is an all too common attitude we need to adjust

  • I recommend that you take an introductory logic course. It would enable you to make arguments that are structurally sound. In logic, emotion is a pollutant. Obviously you FEEL that my orginal statement was "spoken like a true moron", yet you are unable to show logically WHY my statement was moronic.

  • What a bunch of asshole cops. When I was a kid cops didn't hassle us like this. These guys are just trying to get grant money, and face time. Why such a large group of people put up with this kind of shit out of park police is beyond me.

  • @Americcan Most American's are such pussy's...

  • I used to work at a canoe rental down on the Current (about 20 years ago). Park Rangers would hide in the woods with binoculars and look for people smoking pot.

  • thats the apple river for yeah

  • I've never seen any law enforcement on my trips down the current river. If they think they're gonna stop me from smokn' some sweet mj next time I go they've got another thing comin! lmao, fuck the po po

  • @xXTheRatXx -- spoken like a true moron.

  • @ready1take1

And why was my comment "spoken like a true moron"? Just curious because I suspect this is a case of the pot calling the kettle black. (That means you're likely the moron) ; )

  • @xXTheRatXx -- unless you were being sarcastic... if you actually believe the words you said, then yes, you're a moron.

  • @ready1take1

Oh, I wasn't being sarcastic. So once again, why was that "spoken like a true moron"? I'm looking for a rationale here.

If I "believe the words I said"? I do believe them because I did smoke some mj and I didn't get busted, lol. Does that make me a moron? Why? It's not enough to assert that I'm a moron. You have to back the assertion up with solid reasoning. Otherwise, I can just as easily assert that you are a moron. Watch:

    You're a fucking moron

    See? :)

  • @xXTheRatXx -- you wouldn't get it if i did explain. maybe one day, but apparently not right now.

  • @ready1take1

Even though you removed your comment, I'll respond to it any way. You won't offer a rationale for your assertion because you don't have one. You just like to call people names who don't blindly subscribe to the same beliefs and habits that you do. You probably stereotype people who smoke canabis because you've been indoctrinated into thinking that it's an evil plant and all those who use it are "morons". Just guessing, you probably also fully support the "Patriot Act", huh?

  • @xXTheRatXx -- huh? i didn't remove anything...? anyway, i actually used to be a pothead, so i can call you a moron on good authority. i didn't stereotype you... you actually sounded like a moron.

  • @ready1take1

For some reason it wasn't showing the previous two comments that you and I made. Now I can see them.

Formerly being a "pothead" does not make you an authority on people's inteligence whom you have never met.

"you actually sounded like a moron" -again, I realize that you think that what I said was "spoken like a true moron". What I want is a rationale which you seemingly don't have. Your inability to use reason supports my assumption that the pot calls the kettle black.

  • @xXTheRatXx -- what sort of rationale do you want? reread your original comment. what part of that doesn't make you sound like an idiot? i see two possibilities: one, you're some kid who, like most, will eventually grow out of your weed phase and realize one day you were young, dumb, and cocky. the other is that you're over thirty--maybe forty--and still haven't figured it out, in which case there's likely no hope for you ever being a respectable member of society.

  • "what sort of rationale do you want?" -One that EXPLAINS why my original statement was moronic.

"what part of that doesn't make you sound like an idiot?" -Once again, what part of it does and why?

"I see only two possibilites..." -Here you blatantly stereotype weed smokers, showing you know nothing about canabis and it's history. "Respectable meber of society"? You mean like George Washington or Thomas Jefferson? Both smoked pot. Many great thinkers, artists, athletes etc. have.

  • @ready1take1

I support police, but sorry the police in Arkansas have a history of being assholes with only a weak acquaintance with the constitution. Using a "safety check" as a reason to go through the personal possessions of persons traveling on the river? The found fathers would have shot these dicks.

  • On the Elk here in missouri they hide in the bushes in camoflage with binoculars, no shit! They're like ninjas...

  • mother fucker come out the woods and getcha. . . shits sucks when you get in trouble and dont live around there.

  • fuck the river police too....

  • Shame that people can't canoe the rivers without being total dumbf*cks. Been doing the Current for 30 years and have witnessed the growth in stupidity. All the drunken, obnoxious people in their 20s have turned it into a Mardi Gras and have driven off much of the older crowd. Still, it's a shame we have to have these gestapo c*nts in trees watching us here in fascist U.S.A. But only a moron gets busted for weed on the river. Anyone halfway disceet will have no problems whatsoever.

  • there is a river dump it

  • MrSimonGirty,

We have a big group that goes every year, we're pretty respectful and look out for eachother, that day when these two were getting busted, we saw it coming a mile away. It was funny to hear them talking to eachother on the CB and think the water patrol was not watching them. We stuck close to them knowing they were getting busted soon. That's why we asked for the beer while the Officers were pouring out the beer. Thanks for the comment

  • @Brainteaser Hey, I go there every year. "Who" was talking on the CB? And what did they do?

  • I'm thankful for these guys service! I take my kids tubing there several times a summer.Theres nothing worse than a group of drunk or high or both people coming down next to your family using foul language. Today this drunk had a pit bull and he had a leash on it but he let it run free. If it would have bit my kids there would have been a homicide. I would have not thought twice about blowing his brains out of back of his skull. These patrol men and women make it so I dont have to TCB on my own

  • I think the girl says "they can get you for just about anything" and I saw a swastika on the officers arm!

  • lol can i have his beer

  • Doob, big deal.

  • lol, how hoosier who ever was filming couldn't even keep the camera straight LMAO!

  • You have to understand that, we all been drinking. A LOT! that afternoon..

  • The bald guys name in the water patrol suit is Steven Hogan of Summersville, mo.

  • lol what can they get me for, idnoo man what in ur pockets.? buds

  • What the hell is wrong with canoeing down the river smokin a doob...NOTHING

  • @RoadSodyinGoodTimes Nothing? Then spark one up in front of them. Go ahead, I dare ya'...

  • we canoe all the time those guys are water patrol dont mess with them they arnt your regular cops i see people go to jail on the river alot usually for smoking weed or fighting or sex in public

  • at least they didnt lead him into the woods...followed by 3 minutes of pig squeelin.

  • i got too jail for a joint at 2:30 in the morning 12 miles camping out side of van buren on the current river at waymeyer. They were complete assholes.

  • operating a non motorized boat resulted in this??? just for the record, "assual"t has to come with ""Intent"" to do harm.

  • "operating a non motorized boat?" No, it was dealing drugs or the use of drugs on the Missouri River resulted in these two getting arrested....

  • Hahahah I love it Can i Have His Beat ( Srry ) but i would of told the cop Nope im fine Right Here when he said to move on down the river

  • @markalanwhite He didn't ask for his beat.

  • Can i Have his Beer ( Srry ) lol

  • Yeah! I was alittle drunk..LOL..But if you listen carefully, the cops says "You can move on down the river!" after i asked for their beer...LOL

  • I live in the Ozarks.. The Missouri State Water Patrol is the most highly recognized and respected law enforcement agency in the state. I can assure you that if they pull you over they do have probable cause. If you are ticketed (THAT IS AN ARREST) and you are released, they are doing you a favor by allowing you to continue on with your vacation and not taking you to jail.

  • I have nothing against the Missouri Water Patrol. I've even gotten a ticket last year for using my buddy's blow horn 2 mins. into the water. Got a ticket, I knew I did wrong, didn't argue, apologized and went on my merry way. I've floated missouri river, (name it, I've been on it) since 1990. I've seen the good and bad of each river & area. Happy Floating this year..I have 14 camping/float trips planned this year with friends and family...

  • I don't know the situation surrounding this video so I won't pretent to know and make comments that shows my ignorance like others on here. I do know this.... I have been floating on this river for 11 years and in the middle of the summer, well lets just say it has become a not so family friendly place. If you want to smoke dope, cuss, flash people and sunbath naked.... then this is your place. If you want to enjoy the wilderness and teach your kids about nature, you better go in the spring.

  • That's right. The best thing to remember is that no officer in the United States has the right to search you without a warrant or probable cause. Canoeing down a river is not proable cause. "Officer I do not consent to any searches." "Officer it you search me without my concent I will sue you in Federal Court under section 1983." Those are the key phrases for the day! Trust me, I have 2 suits in Federal Court right now, 11th district. Wildlife Officers!

  • if you are in a canoe, or anyother raft, it is in plain sight, which officers do not need a warrant or your consent for. if they can see you do something wrong, then they have probable cause to search any other of your personal items.

  • asshole small dicked police officers. I would tell the officer I know my rights and they could not search anything of mine without probalbe cause.

  • They had several cops on the river watching with binoculars and then radio in to officers down the river. If they are pulling you over, they have probable cause to do so. This couple for instance, was selling drugs or using drugs on the river and got caught...So you know, there were warning signs everywhere about drugs, glass containers, noise orderance (I got a $75 ticket for a blowhorn), and Jello Shots...

  • My buddy got arrested for assault on the River. There were some River Patrol hiding in the trees wearing camo and using binoculars. There were a bunch of girls wearing bikinis and they were starting to get scared because they saw these men and thought they were perverts getting off on the opposite bank. Several men were getting pissed and started yelling for the perverts to show themselves. They wouldn't come out from hiding. My buddy(who didn't see them) threw a tiny rock(2 inches wide)

  • Anyways, the rock was maybe 2 inches wide. He threw it to the opposite bank(he didn't see them, though they were much further away) and he threw it as a warning for them to get out of there. The rock didn't even land within 20 feet of the cops, but they came out and were pretty pissed off and they arrested him for assault, even though he didn't know what was going on. He's pretty bitter about it still. We call him the big teddy bear because he's never hurt anybody in his life.

  • Yet he'll have an assault charge on his record for the rest of his life because some river cop decided to go on a power trip.

So the river cops do a lot of good things, and most of them are good guys/gals. Yet some of them abuse their power a bit and are unwilling to reason with people.

  • You can say that for any profession... There's always good and bad.. Unfortunately, the BAD usually ruins it for good people, sorry to say..

  • very true

  • @turinab He deserved it. Throwing a rock at anybody, even a pervert, is assault. Dum-ass could've ignored the girls, told the girls to leave the area, call the cops, or asked them if they wanted to stick close by for protection. He had 4 other options but chose to get stupid instead. That's the price of stupidity.

  • @Inquisitor53

He did not deserve it. throwing a rock may not have been the smartest decision, but it was only about 2 inches wide(if even that) and couldn't have done any damage in the first place. 2nd, he didn't even see them. He didn't know anybody was over there, it was more just a motion in their general direction to back up. He couldn't ignore or leave the girls, they were his gf and some of our mutual friends. In fact, he diffused the situation because other guys were getting pissed

  • @Inquisitor53 and were getting ready to head across the river to fight these pervs. The rock itself landed about 20 yards away from the cops. Part of being a good officer is being able to work with people and not write a ticket/make an arrest for every little slight citation and explain the situation and proper behavior.

Anyway, if they had revealed themselves as they were suppose to, the entire situation would have been prevented. My friend had the charges dropped because of this

  • @turinab Your group was drinking on the river (illegal). He picked up the rock (intent) & threw it in their direction, aiming for them (assault). It doesn't matter if they were cops or not, no matter who it is (even a perv), throwing a rock at anyone is still an assault. Why didn't the girls move on downstream or if anybody in the group had a cell phone call the cops? Instead you guys decided it was 'testosterone time' & thought how cool it would be to beat the shit out of a perv. That's when...

  • @Inquisitor53 cell phones don't get service out there ya tard.

  • @MrSpatter1 You didn't answer why didn't the females move on downstream if they were that bothered by it.

Why drink on the river anyway, especially in a canoe? Advanced alcoholism set in so bad you can't enjoy anything in life without it?

If you're that good at drunk paddling why not come to the Everglades and try it? I'll introduce you to all kinds of new friends while you're in an impaired state of mind; like bull sharks, gators, crocs, moccosins, pythons, manchineel & sandbox trees. FUN!

  • @Inquisitor53 shut up no one cares what u have to say its a vacation when you go down the river. the fuck dude

  • @DonnerParty816 Alky, you think when you're on vacation you always leave your brains & common sense at home? Can't handle a single day without fucking up your brain cells? Can't handle life without it? When you get busted for breaking the law you blame everybody but yourself? Has the denial game led you to ruin yet? Is Truth just a blur to you? Alcohol addiction will do that to you. So will a lack of maturity. In your case it's probably both. Go get help. Deal with the reality dude.

  • @turinab So the charges got dropped, yahoo. Just think, if y'all hadn't tried playing 'Drunken Macho Men' but instead called the local law the matter would've been straightened out & mr. stupid wouldn't had to deal with the law at all. Get it? No, I guess you never will.

  • @Inquisitor53

Nobody was playing "drunken macho men", they were concerned for their own safety. And how do you call the law when you're on a river with no cell phone? And even if anybody had a cell phone it's not like they'd know the # for the local law enforcement.

  • @turinab Oh no? All the women had to do if they truly felt threatened was leave the area. Did they? No. Your group could've escorted them to a safer spot. Did they? No. Did the perceived pervs make any verbal threats? No. Did any of the women or anyone else ask anybody floating downstream for the use of their cell phone? No. Was anybody in your group consuming alcohol? Yes. Sounds like you guys screwed up from the word go.

As far as the # for law enforcement: Ever hear of 911? DUH!

  • gotta have the cold beer on the river!

  • This is a shame to humanity. obviously a couple enjoying nature and what God gave them. There was nothing in that boat worth getting arrested for and having your freedom taken away.

  • Umm...God may have given them the river, the trees, the beautiful weather we had that day, the fresh air and possibly south of nature that was occurring around us. They got busted for trying to sell and smoke weed and meth on the river. The other couple that was ahead of them was also arrested. They were using CB's to communicate with each and let them know where the cops were. Please don't feel sorry for someone that was trying to sell Meth to people..LOL.

  • Im sorry sound not south..just woke up and half asleep...

  • @Brainteaser too true!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • Why do people always boat and drink? If your going to drink do it back at the campground. Why do they not respect others?

  • the same reason sailors on the ocean did because water starts to taste bad if in a bottle for to long and then it goes bad. liqiuor stays for a very long time and hydrates you somewhat

  • Is that On Elk River....If not is that Missouri

  • It was Jadwin Campgrounds, on the Current River or was it Jacks Folk..

  • Does it always have to be about gettin a drunk on or a buzz on ? Float trips have so much more to offer.

  • Of Course not, but when everyone is in mid-20's, early 30's..Well, floating, for us, is about good friends, cold beer, great weather and just relaxin'.

  • The trick to not getting busted is to go out of season, just before or after the holidays.

  • That's not true. They may not be there frequently after the holiday or out of season, but they are there nevertheless. Trust me I know, we went last year 1st week of April, it was 37 degrees out on Huzzah, one of the girls had a plastic liquor bottle that resembled a glass bottle. We were no more than 30 mins into our float. A Missouri Conservationist came out of no where asking where that bottle was hidden. Inspecting out cooler, he later to find out it was the plastic bottle. Good times..

  • they really can get you for just about anything...they harass people trying to have a good time almost every day during the summer...they are losing TONS of business down there b/c they are getting so bad...it was the big talk this year down there

  • they are also loosing business by running off the people who don't want to see the ignorance. Current River in the summer time has become another Mardi Gras. If you want to go act stupid somewhere go do it in New Orleans.

  • @spd613 I hear ya, buddy. We Ozarkers are very proud of our streams and lakes and don't appreciate idiots who do stupid things on our streams and lakes.

  • my friends got pulled over on the huzzah a few years ago, we all had to sit in a line and got our rights read to us, but they just issued tickets to the three people who were smokin weed. $400 per ticket, and we had 4 rafts of people.

  • been there dont that on the current last year...$500 ticket...but I learned my lesson this year

  • which river in MO?

  • We were on the Current River in Missouri.

  • Thanks! Im going to Huzzah River this weekend and hoping it doesn't turn out like this haha.

  • There's new rule and they are enforcing the old ones. NO GLASS..Definitely no jello shots or any shots whats ever. $500 fine for having Jello shots, trust me. My buddy is still bitching about to this day. And its been 2+ months...

  • WOW! Really? I float on the Black River and I have never heard of the "no Jello Shot rule". I'll have to check that out before the season starts this year! Oh, yeah, we've been busted for glass bottles before...scared me to death when I saw those cops waiting for us around the bend! They just made us pour out the booze and give them all the unopened booze bottles....I bet they had one helluva party later!!!! LOL! So, damn....no I have to pour my bottles of Mudslide in a plastic container!

  • Those are two weak ass cops.

  • lol what a joke
