why is Bandito driving you nuts? Hey I was at petsmart and they had alot of fish for $1 and zoomed came out with a new turtle food it had mealworms shrimp and pellets I should of gotten it and then reptomin has the stick krill pellet combo

@emostars71 like wat fish? and yeah the zoomed like luxury turtle food? has diamond back pic on it? has shrimp, krill, the regular pellet, ans mealworms? and hes the one that never really looses the fungus but yesterday they were in real sunlight and it seemed to really dry up the infected area going to do it again (eating right now! haha)

@emostars71 yeah remember, or did i tell u? the sideneck got into the tank lmao! i had them in a bin and he got into their tank, must of been a while though, but everything leaves quickly in them, bandito is the only one with it driving me nuts! and no not the sidenecks and maps, the oscar is getting better i think since the holes are getting covered in what i think are scales, but definately not getting worse

@emostars71 yeah i got it down, just need to keep the maps in quaranteen for maybe 2 months after they loose their sickness, which is under control going away too, and build a basking dock and im all good and then see the interactions, the fish will keep them entertained as well, and i will have hidding spots and stuff too

I am sure you might be about to do a mixed tank but just make sure they have plenty of space for eachother but I know you know that already

@emostars71 yes, and tey do right now, in the tank i want them in, :) plenty since its 40 gallons for the largest minumum, and 5 more gallons per new turtle, and then ther is still more space available, plus they have different times to bask or swim

Its been working the salt but it seems like it has been keep coming back but I think the dip I told you about will cure it I dont know it was just a suggestion if you wanted to try it

Yah that is it that might help my bestfriend he has a female res she is HUGE and she had spots and this thing near her lip so he bought that and a few days later it was gone he has had her for 7yrs maybe even longer and this is the first time that has happened

salfur diip I think that is how you spell it that is supose to work really well I think the salt is helping that well so maybe try something new so you think a 75 will be ok for 5 turtles?

@emostars71 no but it wont house 5 turtles, their going to stay in the same groups, maybe mix all my N.A. turtles when older in a 80 or 90 gallon, but for now i still have 3 tanks running, well when they get moved, a 35, a 40 breeder, and the 75, and then my new project

That is nice you are gonna keep them now? For the fongus are you still using the salt cuase there is this other dip that might be better and might do the trick really on baskers how come all this is going around in your tank? Maybe you should look into something else that might help with the fongus if the salt dips are'nt doing the trick

@emostars71 well the salt is working (the fungus cracks) but they also hav to fry up well so yeah, wats this other dip? but yeah if everything goes like i want it to the maps and musk will go to the 35 gallon of bandito and gw, and they will go into the 75 for probably ever,

@emostars71 i know they will since they arent tat easy to find in my city, and then i might throw in my 10 gallon tank and everything in it with them for 100 bucks if i do (filters are 60 together, basking another 10, turtles 35, and light, 15, and their decorations and some rocks) so it adds up plus th adoption fee, also i kind of not into N.A. turtles cause they are pretty common and want to try something new, but i might not do it, since i think i can find away around it ;)

Yah that is true you have what 3 tanks going right now and what 7 turtles? I mean I can imagine I just have Banana Pudding and that is enough up-keep for me I mean if I had the money and such it would be nice to have a few more turtles but I would want another HYPO or TRANSLUCENT but I would need another set-up till it got big enough since BP is 5"

@emostars71 yeah i want to either have 2 tanks or have them all in one community tank (the N.A) turtles, and then the other for my snapper and bandito, but that wont happen, the babies migth cause inbalances, and munch woul stay alone, i might go trade them for supplies at my local expo, or give them with my tank to adopt, cause like i said i want to try something new with water, and i cant with 4 tanks if i do! l0l

Sulcata are cute if you have a big enough space to house them when they get big I wanted a Tegu but im over it now...lol...a beardie would be nice

@emostars71 well sulcatas drag growing andrew has had his for about 2 years i think just a bit bigger than when he bought it (well i might be wrong on age l0l) and yeah i cant get a tegu cause i dont like mice so pro there, and a beardy idk im getting interested but no too much, i might do another water project doe :)

@emostars71 no i mean an indoor pond in my basment l0l, or move to another warmer state, plus alli. snappers hibernate, and are super hardy in the cold, really they dont need heaters since they are used to such cold weather

Yah they get huge we have an aqaurium here with an albino alligator and the snapping turtles live with them and they are HUGE!!!
