  • i really really like how you put the two bigger sticks in the ground to make a support for the smaller twigs. never seen it before, but it's a great idea! i will use this technique

  • I live in Washington and it rains A LOT..

I love Mini Inferno.. I had a fire going when everything was wet. Great product.

  • Great Demo brotha! I'm sold..........lol

  • I notice you have the Pathfinder knife (01 tool steel, etc.). It looks like a tough knife, solid like the Spear Point, I have, by BHK. I notice it has a Scandi grind, and I am wondering if it can botn and chop worth a damn? Thanks, and BTW I'm ordering few tins of that mini inferno.

  • @offgridmontana It chops great, especially with a lanyard. It's about the perfect size, not too big and not too small. The BHK bushcrafter is also a incredible tool.

  • What axe/tomohawk is that on your pack in the begining?

  • @Norgrim67 That the Cold Steel Trailhawk

  • @oregonmikes ok kool, i just did a review on my trailhawk. check it out if your interested.

  • Good test Mike. Thanks. Looks like a good product.

Hey, If you want to see a funny fire-making video, check this out on YOUTUBE:

    Lars Monsen bakomfilmen .

It is a humorous out-take from a Norwegian outdoors show. No translation is necessary :-)

  • I've seen other reviews on the Mini inferno and the reason I sub. to you and like your vid. is because you live in some of the wettest conditions in the US. If a product can stand up in Oregon than it can stand up to just about anything. I just ordered 4 from Dave. Thanks again Mike!

  • @cahudson11 Thanks, that stuff is amazing! I think that is why Dave jumped on it. He knows a good product when he sees it.

  • hey mike great video. Been thing of trying these things myself. what kind of gloves are those you have ? where can you buy?

  • @survival919 They are Hand Master The Roc Work Gloves. I get them at a local Bi-Mart for $4. They dry very quick if they get wet.

  • man that is pretty cool probably could skipped the smaller ones with that much flame?

  • cool. i like your videos and your persona in them..

  • @FixedByDoc Thanks bro, that's just me being me.

  • Good video as always Mike, I have some that I got from Roger too. I wasn't sure how it was meant to be used until he did a video on it so I was a little hesitant to do a video on it until I knew for sure. Didn't want to give him an unfair review if I was using it wrong, which come to find out I was. Thanks!

  • I like that! Great job with the fire Mike :o)

  • ... not easy to get a fire ging in such weather. Cool fire starter! Tim

  • @steintanz That stuff just works so well.

  • Thanks Mike. What was that knife?

  • @huguenot67 That's a first generation pathfinder. It could fillet a battleship. :-)

  • The insulation works great as fire starter, using many other combos like misch, magnesium, wax, petroleum jelly, alcohol, et al. Great stuff! Always look forward to your vids and you seem to have a lot of coats!

  • @mostcanwait That's just the german fleck camo gore-tes jacket that Sportsman's guide sells for $30. I like it because it is just a shell, i.e. no liner so I can layer whatever I need under it.

  • Mike : it was great to see you out having fun in Oregon's liqid sunshine... we were also out having a fire.super video and nice little fire, looks like the weather is getting better for us this week.

  • @busycando yeah, as usual good weather during the week rain on the weekend :-(

  • That looks like some great stuff! I liked this video Mike, loved the Terminator music...it went very well with the video! Nice job.

  • Thanks for the review Mike! Glad to hear/see your happy with it. To think it all started from one overnight trip i did in the rain.. spent hours trying to get a fire going after trying everything the area had to offer, i finally got a fire.. went home and came up with this product!

  • sweet little product you got there

  • Cool product Mike

  • @medicjimr I think it would work well with the bushbuddy stove, you could cut the disks into 1/4's to start the stove. They are small and lightweight.

  • @oregonmikes I have made something similar out of cotton discs and wax just got to figure out his secret potion lol

  • nice vid mike.

  • Oh and I am glad you like th lanyard, thanks for the shout out :)

  • @theparacordguy You stuff is great quality bro, keep it up.

  • Great vid man, looks like it really did the trick. That stuff is awesome :)

  • Great demo Brother! Man, if that stuff holds up in the Oregon rain that well, I'm sold! Thanks

  • @intenseangler I'm using them for the hard to start fires, great to have if you need it.

  • Looks like it works quite well. BTW- Nice fire making demo for wet conditions. A lot of people would not think to set a couple prop sticks to hold air space. Good job bro.

  • Works great very good invention.
