In Arthurian legend, Guinevere really is Arthur's wife and they follow the legend pretty loyally in this show, considering the stuff with Mordred and Nimueh, so I don't have any doubt they will most definately end up together =) With my luck though they'll change that at the last minute

I'm not a big fan of Arthur, but I think him and Gwen are a great, functional couple, because even though I find Gwen annoyingly passive sometimes (which I know has to do with her status as a serveant, etc; she has to remember her place to avoid trouble, so it's understandable), when Arthur's an arse to her, she tells him off. Ultimately, with Morgana (who I actually rooted for for most of the third season), Gwen is probably my favourite character.

They are so perfect for each other I never liked the Lancelot character or the cheating plot. I especially love their story in this version too because he wants her to see him as a good man so she is slowly changing him into the Arthur of legend that everyone reads about, well her and his friendship with Merlin of course! I like Gwens tongue lashing because Arthur was tired of having special treatment and was practically crying out for someone to treat him like everybody else. Gwen challenges for him to do the exsact same thing, treat everybody equally. I think that is what he is drawn to, that she makes him a better man/prince. It's not about her looks but about who he is when he is with her.

the reason why i like the tongue lashing part is not because WHAT excatly Gwen sais but HOW she says it. With power and passion. I seriously love her. This scene tells a lot about her. Not only the fact that she is growing a backbone, but also that she is a human, because she looses her temper. I don't get why some people ( mostly people who are bashing her) call her "Mary Sue". The fact that she looses her temper is sooo not Mary sue. Personally i think is because that they are just jealous :P!

Wish the cast did more character insights during the commentaries.

Surely it will have a happy ending being on the timeslot that it is, I just hope we get many interesting series as I love watching it play out.

But in this version, who knows how involved Lancelot will be, before the wedding, and after the wedding. We may not even see after the wedding but it would be nice for the writers to leave us with a feeling that in this version Gwen didn't cheat on Arthur after they where married.

I think the Gwen in this version wouldn't cheat anyway once she knew her and Arthur could be.

@Jakota1993 You don't need to hope as it is a given. There are two versions of the Arthur and Gwen story in the Arthurian legends. One where she is as she is in the show, and another where she leaves Arthur for Lancelot (though I'm not sure if that's exactly it, though I DO know she cheats on Arthur with Lancelot in the second version). But with how Gwen is in this version of the Arthurian legends, I'm POSITIVE they will end up together. After all, it WAS written that they did. ;)
