I noticed that they were acting like the victims and that they were drugged. If you pay attention, that medic student (guy with yellow shirt who gets shot ) says that Cliff"s pupils are dilated. By the way, in the flashback you can see them smoking cristal.

But I would've liked the ending better if Steve and Milla had killed Timothy and Kiele, that would've been much cooler instead of the happy crappy hollywood ending where the bad guys always get theirs in the end.

You know, a twist ending only works if it makes sense, and this one made no sense what-so-ever. Would killers REALLY act like victims when no one else is around (except for the movie camera)? Of course not. Well made, and relatively enjoyable, as long as you don't think...because it's STUUUPID.

@acidjack73 actually u weren't paying attention, they were taking people's identities and becoming them. They were acting like the victims because they, in their minds, were other people until they decided to assume another couple's lives which they decide to do again at the end of the movie, only it doesn't work out for them (or one of them anyway). I loved the movie and Timothy Olyphant's character, his relationship and ultimately his proposal at the end.

@LordofMovies91 Actually, I just didn't buy the cheat excuse of "they were acting". More a cover for lazy writing - evident in SO MANY other scenes in the movie. For instance, the helicopter sniper taking his orders on who to shoot to kill from a woman civilian of questionable trustworthiness whom he's just met. THAT was even more ridiculous than the twist.

Still, the acting (especially from Olyphant) and direction were good enough that I kind of enjoyed it despite the laziness of the script.

@acidjack73 yeah the ending that explains the relationship between Timothy Olyphant and his soon-to-be fiancee and how he got the ring and his plans to propose to her were good. His character becoming truly badass at the end and saving her is great too and really made the movie. I like the movie ending and I don't have a problem with them taking their identities which is what they were doing after they killed the people they wanted to become because it sets up the great ending.
