I think most boxers below the heavy weight division fight below their natural weight, meaning they have to lose weight before the weigh-in. They do this by obviously dieting, dehydrating their bodies as well as intense cardio. After the weigh-in they have 24hours to pretty much eat what they like and rehydrate...Leading to dramatic weight gain.

Pac weighed in at 135 for Diaz and entered the ring at 149.
Weigh-in weight is what you measure and Pac's lean weigh-in weight went from 129-142 in 9 months.
A got damn Olympic blood test is what Mayweathers camp is after. Why? Mayweather relies on his tactics to win fights as appose to Pacquiao who relies on power. A test like this would only leave Pacquiao fatigue and vulnerable. The last thing Mayweather wants at this point in his career is an active Pacquiao in the ring. There is no Olympic style drug testing rules eversince boxing became a modern day sport. Why Mayweather asking Pacman to have such kind of a drug test? Why only to Pacman? Here is a scenario. Pacquiao has taken the blood test. Unbeknownst to him and many, the test was rigged and Pacquiao is declared to have ingested steroids. All Pacquiao's accomplishment would be rendered to naught. It is a hypothetical scenario but not far-fetched. Can we trust the maywethers, dela hoya,ellerbe or many of the americans? As we stand today, 4th Feb 2010 Hatton is on holiday eating pies and drinking booze, over 2 stone heavier than he will need to be to fight Marquez sometime later in the year. I just want everyone to realise that. He tells he was "overtrained" for the Pac fight. Funny, I don't remember him saying that in the days leading up to it. I think most boxers below the heavy weight division fight below their natural weight, meaning they have to lose weight before the weigh-in. They do this by obviously dieting, dehydrating their bodies as well as intense cardio. After the weigh-in they have 24hours to pretty much eat what they like and rehydrate...Leading to dramatic weight gain.

That is not what is considered weight gain in boxing. That is standard hydrating and dehydrating.
You judge weight gain in boxing by comparing what weight they weigh-in at. because that is when they are at their leanest.
Pac weighed-in at 129 and 9 months later at 142. That is an increase of 13 pounds in 9 months of his lean weigh-in weight.
Pac went from a weigh- in weight of 106-129 in 13 years and 5 months. He then went from 129-142 in 9 months. That is 10x faster.

When comparing a boxer's movement in weight you always compare the weigh-in weight. That is when a fighter is at his leanest. Every fighter dehydrates for a fight and then rehydrates.
Pac weighed in at 135 for Diaz and entered the ring at 149.
Weigh-in weight is what you measure and Pac's lean weigh-in weight went from 129-142 in 9 months.

A got damn Olympic blood test is what Mayweathers camp is after. Why? Mayweather relies on his tactics to win fights as appose to Pacquiao who relies on power. A test like this would only leave Pacquiao fatigue and vulnerable. The last thing Mayweather wants at this point in his career is an active Pacquiao in the ring. Manny has already proven his strength is beyond standard. He agreed to the blood test after the fight, which should be more than enough for Mayweather to chew on and step up!
