  • It's 'tulla'! not 'tullä'. And I guess you've put too many n letters in the word 'mennä'. Anyway, thanks.

  • @32gabrielle32 he wanted to know if you really read or not!

  • The ending for 'he' and 'ne' is either 'vat' or 'vät'. You can work out which one to choose according to the rules of Finnish 'Vowel Harmony'.

Vowel Harmony insists that if a word already has a letter 'O' or 'U' in it, you cannot use the letters 'Ä', 'Ö', or 'Y' in the same word.

For 'he' and 'ne' you would always use the ending 'vät', unless the rules of Vowel Harmony prohibit you for doing so.

  • The ending for 'hän' is usually worked out by repeating the last vowel in the word's stem.

For example, if the word is 'puhua', you find the word's stem by removing the infinitive marker 'a' which leaves you with 'puhu' and then you repeat the last vowel (which is 'u'), and then you are left with 'hän puhuu'.

  • @bwcer1 thanks soo much!!

  • this video really helped me alot thanks! i have one question though, when your using hän or he how do you know which ending to use? thanks again for your help!

  • Some of the verb type 5 examples have the wrong ending. They all end in letter 'ä' when some of them should end in letter 'a'. Only "merkitä", "häiritä", and "hillitä" have the correct last letter 'ä'.
