  • Spiderwoman .... cause she got 2 spider shape hands

  • Her fingers have fingers.

  • @SerinoJack wat up jack? saw u played in the assembly and u sucked!!!!!!

    jokin :)

  • I want yuja wang to know that she's my inspiration, she's the reason i started piano lessons in the first place (:: AND she's my favourite pianist of all. I don't know if she's the most talented and i really dont care, i love the way she plays! She is a motivation for me to keep playing, i wish i could play like her someday, or even somewhat close to her.. It's a big goal but it keeps me going (:

  • is this from carmen sandiego?

  • She should join the next 2015 International Chopin Piano Competition..After Yundi Li, she will be the next one from China...Yay!!!

  • Dear parents, U programmed IT well

  • I really love this classical piece by Yuja. Being a new YouTube viewer, I am finding video's like this amazing - and so different from some of the previous, mundane stuff I have managed to find on the internet. Filming in the practice room was a great idea and show's off Yuja's talents even more than within a concert setting; and allows the viewer to study and enjoy both the music and her playing even more. Love the camera work and the close up view of the keyboard.

  • who has composed that??

  • @sjvcodbgek Maestro Horowitz, based on the opera Carmen, by George Bizet.

  • 0:34 : I love her pink cell phone!!!! =)

  • well i know that i could never play this... snif

  • y must you make me feel horrible on piano../.....

  • i like her phone haha

  • i -robot

  • Is it the video or is that piano out of tune?

  • @wantrice probably both :)

  • Comment removed

  • The entire orchestra is in her 10 fingerz pretty cool

  • the weirdest thing is that she seems to think that playing like that is totally normal : D

  • If im getting married, i want you there to play my life story. :)

    hahaha

  • What's your phone number ? Can I call you! You are one of my favorate pianists ^_^

  • HOLLY SHIT!; That was so amazing! This girl should be a concert pianist for the London Symphony Orchestra.

  • @bencooper123456 She has already made her debut with the LSO! She's a full fledged international soloist! Look her up! Yuja Wang also has a twitter account if you want to follow her!

  • who wrote the piano part for this piece ?

  • @haiz369 It's the famous Vladimir Horowitz transcription (he had a few versions he did over the years)

  • pink phone!!

  • Yes rock n roll !!!

  • wowww muito loucooo

  • shes pretty

  • wheelbarrow practise you learn so much from watching your self

  • My friend knows her... Look at the channel and watch Alina Kobialka. OMG. ksdfjsd 13 years old.

  • in my dreams, i could play this piece. lol

  • Mamma mia! Fantastic Yuja !!!

  • @Wintendows Are you shting me?

Her pieces don't even come close in terms of difficulty to some of the compositions I heard Yuja play.

  • Amazing! Not only you are talented and you enjoy truly playing the piano, you must have had inspiring and amazing teachers. Good for you.

  • Meravigliosa!

  • WOW Yuja Wang is defintely the best woman pianist. :D i love her. haha and she should marry yundi li.. but if that doesnt work out.. :) illll marry her! :D

  • @tigertolyy what about sunny choi?

  • outstanding

  • i can't say any thing just incredible

  • She totally rocks!!! :D

  • i bet she learned mary had a little lamb in 1 second ^^ it took me 5

  • She gives me goosebumbps whenever i see this

  • YOU NO REST! YOU PRAY DE PIANO NOW! - Mr. Wang

  • she is really awesome... ^^ there is so much agility in her hands

  • reminds of a final fantasy piece..

  • @zhjiln let me guess, you're talking about one winged angel?

  • @Kazoue nope... the beginning and other parts of this, sounds like the exploring/in town background music from FF8 ...

  • @Kazoue This is nothing like One Winged Angel.

  • @Kadadj you don't know what you are talking about, of course the songs are completely different, but, if you know a little bit about music, you should notice how the tones and the rhythms are very similar. it might sound confusing if the only versions of OWA you have ever heard are those in advent children or any other that are played by orchestras if you want to do a real comparison check out the final fantasy 7 piano collection version.

  • @Kazoue First of, yes I know what i am saying, check my channel out, I obviously know a bit musical theory. Secondly, I have learnt songs and melodies I listened to several years ago by just playing stuff that sounded familiar, so I know when something sounds like something else. I checked out the piano collections. Although fucking awesome, I do not think of this when i hear it, nor the opposite. And thats that ^^

  • @Kadadj I dont want to attack your musical knowledge because I know you know about music but I strongly disagree about you saying that this has nothing to do with owa, How can you even say that? listen and think about how you feel hearing this song. The minor chords used make this song sound stressful. it's the same in owa. just take the first chord of owa for instance. both of them make you feel the same way. And if it's not feelings, what is the point of music?

  • @Kazoue I agree about emotions and music, this just doesn't remind me of One Winged Angel, except maybe the rhythm of the first few seconds.

  • yujaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

you are so sensual !!!!!!!!!!!!! mhmhmhmhmhmhmhmhmmhmh

  • i almost cried listening to this wonderful piece!! so touching!!

  • nice and nice girl and all nice yep

  • She sold her soul to the devil!! lol That is awesome!

  • how can this guy hold the camera so relaxed? Hearing and seeing this one can't remain calm due to her extraordinary talent...

  • @conse3000

I think it's a woman holding the camera.

  • @sth128 So this explains everything, ey? :-) How'd you know btw? You see it from the camera work? ^^

  • since from now I'm your fan!!

  • Sorry guys, but she's a robot from the future.

  • @XenoPredator I'm sorry for you. You can't play half as good as this what you called "robot".

  • @XenoPredator Totally agree with you.

  • @XenoPredator Sorry, but this is probably the no.1 pianist in the world. The fact that she has such a superb technique doesn´t mean she is a robot. Listen to some compositions (Schubert, Brahms, etc.) - if you realy

understood piano you would have to agree with me.

  • @TheHanslick It's so sad that people like you lack any sense of humour. Might not want to take life so seriously!

  • @XenoPredator If only you knew me you wouldn´t believe how wrong yoa are!

But seriously, I did not realize your comment was supposed to be taken as humorous.

There are so many childish comments in here ...

Anyway, I recommend that anybody who doubts about her artristry buy her (so far) 3 DG recordings!

  • wooow

  • Não tem como. ela é a melhor do mundo ._.

  • Did she really say, "I hope I can remember it."?

  • @WECantThink i'm pretty sure she did!

  • @WECantThink yarp

  • @WECantThink Im afraid she did. ;O She did a good job tho ^_^

  • @WECantThink she must have been jokin cuz if dis video is hoping she can remember it wat about when she cud remember it

  • @WECantThink I think she means I hope my Fingers can remember this.

  • LMAO "I hope I can remember"

  • You´re the spirits Listz´s!!!! How many hour do you study a day ?????????

I never seen playing as you. Congratulations, Many thanks from Spain.

  • I haven't the slightest idea why I like this one over Horowitz's version. She is precise, methodical, and passionate. So is Horowitz. There is a very slight & minute difference in nuances and tempo at certain places. I can't explain it. My ears just want to hear this one, even though playing in a small room makes the sound bounce and terrible in general. Can someone explain it to me? I just wish I heard this in a concert hall. I will wait til she comes to our town to play.

  • @singlefather01 The reason you prefer her version over Horowitz's is because you are a single father and because Yuja has tits. She also happens to be pretty attractive. Congratulations! You're a man!

  • I hope i can remember-.-

juz give a damn on it

  • the fingers are flying....

  • looks like she remembered it

  • @GGefter1 agreed!!!!

  • Why don't some of you start learning how to speak and WRITE proper ENGLISH!!!

For fuck sake. WHAT is happening to education these days?????

I thunk I used to speak more betterer than what u did and then some but now I realize i'm just one of all of you like, what, you know what I mean mate?

Un-educated plebs!!! (Don't bother replying gits - I'll never understand you!! ha ha!)

  • @Mrphilharmonic Consider for a second that some of those people you're berating might not be native English speakers. It's true that it's sometimes hard to tell the difference. But you should always consider the possibility.

That said, between your penchant for superfluous punctuation and your inexplicable hyphenation of 'uneducated', as well as your overuse of all caps in lieu of italics, your English writing is not exactly 'proper', either.

    "For fuck sake."

    Yeah, real proper, Jethro.

  • @ProgHead777 Yes! You're absolutely right. I was wrong. Sorry. I DO apologize.

I'm just afraid that we are steadily losing our language though, what with slang and bad spelling, grammar etc. I just wish some would exercise a little more care and take pride in the WAY they write things.

I hope you see my point.

    Apologies.

  • @ProgHead777 PS. By the way, I was being (wrongly of course) sarcastic after the "?????". Can't really think where my head was actually. (You don't need to make any suggestions either, ha!)

No, I'm 'cool' with what you say, but there was some irony there too. Ok?

  • I saw Yuja Wang live in 'Philly' and she was just incredible. An 'old' soul in a young body touched with genius. Now all she has to do is CONTRIBUTE a work (or arrangement/variation) of her own (all Horowitz/Volodos) and she will be completely a total master of the musical genre as well as the piano.

  • @Mrphilharmonic

I'm not a big fan of Yuja, but I agree with your point. Everyone playing the Horowitz and Volodos transcriptions is getting old. No offense to Horowitz or Volodos, but their pieces weren't designed for mass consumption by pianists/audiences. They were supposed to be a special treat for their audiences only. It's happening too often now. I'd rather see people play Hamelin Etudes. Those pieces are interesting. Nobody has the guts to do it other than Hamelin though.

  • @MrStrav81 because Hammelin is satan lol

  • This compares well with Horowitz's play of Carmen. Granted, Horowitz deserves praising as a symbol of perfection. Whether or not anyone in reality can ever achieve perfection in anything, arguably the "practicing" Yuja in this video proves not only just as dynamic musically, but more at ease especially in those parts where technical demands arise. (Watch if Horowitz appears tense throughout much of his play). Therefore, shall we say, Yuja's performance here nears perfection.

  • @PowerofTrueInsight Yeah! Got to agree with you on this one!

  • Perfect ! It's my reference !! But i don't understand why severals notes aren't the same than the partition.....Has she turned the piece a little in her proprietary way ?

  • @pianolife06

    Yes, its an improv.

  • 33 people who don't like this are blind and deaf

  • is she Arcadi Volodos' protege'? seems to play a few of the piece from his solo recital recording

  • As technically proficient as Yuja undoubtedly is she is playing this piece with next to no expression. To see how this should be played see Horwitz play it at: "Horowitz plays Carmen Fantasia".

  • @Kosmicandy I agree with you, but it has very little emotion.

  • gee can some1 tell me which piece is tis piece composed by and its specific name, i tried on IMSLP but got so many carmens instead so some help is greatly appreciated Thx!

  • @DunNotCome Georges Bizets' Carmen Fantasie

  • I wonder how much her fingers are insured for?

  • i prefer horowitz version he seemed to have more power when its needed and better dynamics

  • Lang Lang is a charltan. She delivers without the phony theatrics and cheap tricks. Look, this is a practice piano, the lid down, poor acoustics. Gary Graffman, you must be proud!!!!

  • She always picks up the hardest piece!

  • @trang23390 she must be so good that she can't play easy pieces XD

  • 2:36 and on is probably one of the most difficult parts in any piece EVER to be played with clarity... Falls short here. Only one I've seen play it clearly was Horowitz. :(

  • Her and Hamelin should get together and compose a super-duet...which would probably sound like a sextet, lol.

  • This is wonderful.... i love the way she can make the piano sound like its not even a piano.... and when it does sound like a piano, then it sounds like 2 or 3 pianos at once! LOVE YU YUJA!

  • before watching your video, I thought I was a pretty good pianist... :'(

  • IMPRESSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • supered

  • @mdzebate Eh? Is that even a word?

  • Comment removed

  • Wow! Super tolles Video! Hasst du vielleicht auch Noten dazu?

  • this woman is the ultimate proof that humans can be and are amazing!!
