I can't say that I approve of all of the tactics employed by Paul Watson, especially the boarding of foreign vessels in international waters, or attempts at fouling props in hazardous waters. That's piracy; nothing less.

Nevertheless, were government agencies more willing to enforce whale hunting moritoriums & restrictions in recognized sanctuary areas, such confrontations would likely not occur. Whales are magnicifcent animals: their preservation needs to become an international priority.

But Sky News just showed vid of mother minke whale and her baby calf harpooned and winched up Nisshin Maru, butchered and frozen to be fed to delighted japanese school kids back in Japan.
