  • Man kind likes killing each other, we have been at it long before there were firearms. We sell thousands of items that kill people, where do you start, ? Cigarette's. My point, it depends on who is talking to Romney. As a State Champion Trap Shooter I have carried firearms into every Sate in this Union. Do I have problems ? no, never have.

  • Camp Perry and the Grand American tell us, thousands of armed people with all kinds of weapons are not the problem. So what is ? simple, let me write the law for misuse of a firearm.

Will I stop misuse,? not 100% but I'll sure thin them out as they will never do it again, not in this life. Romney can change, 30 round clips were a little dumb, that sort of BS, time's change, so can he.

  • Romney supports a total ban on "assault rifles". If you're a gun owner, and vote for this tool, you deserve to get shot.

  • What a sack of shit car salesman. I hope the rest of my fellow NRA members don't listen to this lying douchebag

  • You are only a real conservative if you support the most liberal Republicans.

  • Thanks to Romney, MA has a permanent assault weapons ban. He simply doesn't "get it". The 2nd amendment has nothing to do with hunting or sportsmen. The rights of the people will not be infringed. This guy is the GOP's John Kerry.

  • All I see is a politician with his lips moveing!

  • The right to own a gun is a fundamental right to him? Now he's overdoing it. I support the right to own a gun (its a discussion that recently lighted up in the Netherlands) and I support the right to defend yourself. But It's the governments job to protect you against violence so you don't actually need a gun. Its just something extra for when you prefer to take your personal protection in your own hands.

  • @stephano1990 LOL you have seem to forget something. If the government's life is in danger, he has millions of guards on standby ready to protect him to the death. Unfortunately you dont have that option. Its the government's right to protect us but when an armed robber is about to charge into you door. I do not think the governement is going to be there to give you assistance. At that point, your life is in your hands and you have have to protect yourself. This is part of the importance of a gun.

  • @Martin4life93 As I said, I support gun ownership and I agree with the fact that you need to be able to defend yourself in situations where the government can't do this (indeed, when you've got a robber standing in front of your bedroom door). But Romney calls it a fundamental right, essential to the functioning of a free society, and that's just bullshit! A gun is essential for people to survive when you live in a dangerous country like Israel or South-Africa, not in the US.

  • @stephano1990

Remember that guns are not just for protection from criminals, the amendment was put there to protect people from their governments. You think it sounds crazy now, but they thought that at one time too. Times of peace, times of war, golden ages, civil unrest... governments change, turn tyrannical, then good again. We are not 'special' we've just grown up in a good era. One that seems is sharply on the decline. But when you waive your right it's gone for good

  • @EricIndecisive yes I know that. But those where different times, I agree that we shouldn't take the peace for granted, you never know when there's going to be a war, but that's not a reason why civilians should be prepared for war while there is no direct reason (unless there part of the national Guards of coarse).

  • @stephano1990 How were they different times? I don't see them as all THAT different at all. We are going through the same oligarchical authoritarian opressive governance that our founders experienced.

  • @stephano1990 The 2nd Amendment isn't to protect us from crime or to hunt. Its to protect ourselves from dictatorial and opressive governance.

  • @stephano1990 Who protect you from the government then? Who's watching the watchers?

  • Will he be elected?

  • How about grenades? should they be legal as an arm? If no, then you agree there should be some limit to the 2nd amendment, and the only question is what is your boundary? Aren't automatic weapons just as lethal, even more so?

  • @BlueHen123 no chemical weapons, but grenades I dont see a problem with since that would be a decent way to prevent the flash mob beatings if 20-30 teenagers got horribly mutilated

  • if the government has machine guns we can have them too right mitt?

After all the 2nd amendment was to defend ourselves from a government gone bad.
