  • the very best of Editors and R.E.M.

  • Lol! Putting in their own editorial emotions into it.

  • WOW! REM could learn something from you guys. Vocals were great as was the drumming.

  • man i thiink this ones betta thn the origional!!! :D

  • Damn, this cover kick serious ass.

  • best cover from editors by far!!!!

  • every time i hear him sing... all i can think is Ian Curtis.

  • @kateybellew Ian Curtis? Really? Why? Because of the baritone range? The guy from the editors can actually sing.

  • @kateybellew i concur. Ian Would have been amazing still. Just imagine.

  • I am an editors fan, but even I don't think that Tom should have sang this one. The music is AWESOME! I would love to hear Michael Stipe singing over this version of the song, now that would be insanely good! BTW, Ed is one of the best drummers EVER!

  • not good

  • Stipe and Smith both brilliant with this. If im ever present at a duo, heaven will have lowered itself to take me LOL

  • awesome/10

  • Smith is obviously trying too hard to imitate Stipe's vocal style. That said, it's still a very good cover.

  • i dont think he is trying to imitate his style at all. this is how tom smith always sounds.

  • @nickfromCO i saw them at a festival and the guy even rips stipe's hand movements.

  • loved the REM song...but this is also an amazing cover...well done Editors :)

I also like their Talking Heads 'Road to nowhere' cover aswell :) <3

  • Best cover I've heard of this song. Well done .. great vocals .. great all around

  • REM just was so bland with the song. This version, it's so much deeper. It's like listening to Motley's version of Anarchy, do much better...

  • Wouldn't call R.E.M.'s version bland at all.

The music was "of it's time"

  • @metaslugx You nonce. Bland? Are you serious? Hahaha you're comparing two versions recorded 20 years apart too. Nonce.

  • @LangshottRangers - And, i note, the Editors guy doesn't exactly hit the high notes in the chorus, does he? I am sure you Editors fans love them for good reason, but I just wish these constipated vocalists could hit some notes every now and then.

  • this video goes to my fav list

  • Did they release this on an album anyone?

  • @IRSALOMON it was released on a b side but cant think of which one off the top of my head.

  • @D114BCW you're right- its off Blood. :)

  • saw them both at twickenham, it was fucking great

  • I think they covered it well, but it doesn't beat Michael Stipe's vocals.

  • hey guys, nice video. that is how you crack the world in two like a fuckin' eight ball, that is my league, go back to your mother's house. Be careful what you portray, capish?

  • this is better than the original i think- you guys rock!

  • EARgasm!!! sorry thats my favorite new internet neologism.

  • Im' speechless... greatest cover ever!! very well excecuted guys!!! 5*

  • Awsome!

  • i like 'it very much

  • Yeah, not sure about the intro at all but otherwise it's a nice cover. Singer sounds unnervingly like Michael Stipe in places.

  • They are influenced by the ol' Stipe-miester.

  • Was a bit unsure on the intro, but it sure did pick up! Good tribute to the original!

  • Wait wait... oh there it is. cool
