  • Holy crap dude, you're ghostnotes!! =O

  • You technique reminds me of Jojo Mayer.

  • if you could do this at 16 your a damn god

  • a damn god... paradoxical to say the least :)

  • wow...people giving me thumby down really suck XD

this is cool, no doubt...but cmon this isnt drum and bass like the genre drum and bass...why should it? this is just a badass drum solo that gets my respect...but theres plenty of drum and bass solos implying drums and a bass being played...

how about quotation marks so people see youre not out of your mind calling this a "drum and bass solo"

  • That's cool, sounds awesome! great job

  • cool...but can someone explain to me why this is drum and bass when theres no bass???

  • bass is not meant to be a Bass Guitar but hes talking about the style of music which is called drum and bass

  • Thank you saintUdnitz!! second one i have seen like this. Am I missing somthing here? I thought I was going crazy!! WARE'S BASS??

  • well, thank YOU! I also thought wtf is wrong with me...like am i the only one not seeing or hearing a bass??

  • With bass he means bass drum. ;)

  • wow u fail at life.... i guess u dont have a drum kit... get one so then u can be a man not a girl u are

  • 1. I do have a drum set...and a bass...Im quite good i guess

    2. theres also drum and bass solos that imply bass being played and i simply asked a question...

    3. i know about the musical style drum and bass (THIS ISN'T!)

    4. americans are the proof that evolution has a sense of humor XD

  • Average..not great but it was ok

  • Sick !

  • Excellent technique. Work on your timing a bit.

  • but you do une bad thing on the snare you slide whit your stick thats bad. or its only bad clarity on the video

  • GOD DAMN SO NICE TO WATCH AND LISTEN!!! it's hot!!!

  • What do you physically have to be to be a good drummer? What helps when it comes to drumming, do you have to be fast or something?

  • i saw your question on a couple of vids. I think that if you are fast and have a good coordination it makes it easier to become a good drummer but with alot of practice everyone can be a good drummer! God Bless

  • Right, might have a little go on a drum set then if I find one around. Lol

  • yes it does help to be fast. It also helps to be co-ordinated also.

And if ur a dumbass i suggest u use triangle as it would be better suited ;)

Other than that and alot of practise nothing :P

  • sweet

  • Awesome!

  • very good...

if i played drums i´ll judge your job better...

but i like i see and hear..

    ;P

  • i love your tuning your sound is cool too

  • thanks! i really don't tune, i just tighten and loosen lugs until things sound good, it just seems to work out haha.

  • i have tried that, but my drumset is a piece of garbage .good luck¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡:( :)

  • I love the way its just so clean...I can do this stuff, its not hard, but not in the way that you can.

    It just sounds so good!

  • thanks for the kind words!

  • m8 u shud start up ur own little group, get sum1 doin sounds on the keyboard and sum1 doin a few bits and bobs on sum turn tables, maybe sum lyrics thrown in there and uve got ur own drum n bass act, trust me that shit goes down well

  • i agree with pearl dude, awsome playing!

  • sweet ghost notes!

  • Small kit, big skills....A IMPRESSIVE KIT DOESNT MAKE YOU A BEST DRUMMER..... good job dude...

  • you groove really well, but during some of the fills you kind of lose it. overall very good

  • good job

  • Stop speeding up! Keep a constant tempo man

  • it is great drumming, but it isnt a DnB... DnB beats are different... for examle KJ SAWKA...

  • "Drum & Bass inspired solo".

Inspired is the key word.. haha.

    Thanks anyway

  • Glad to see alot of jazz influence.

  • Your drums sound great, is it definitely a CX? You're good at tuning drums and the ghost notes are sweet!

  • Thanks! Yep, it is a CX

  • I love the ghost notes too, i can't play the ghost notes yet, but i am practising.

  • He's using an Pearl Eliminator...(Look at the tags ;P)

  • wat pedal r u using

  • that was awesome but I have to criticize to help you get better: work on not speeding up in the easier parts and slowing down in the harder ones

  • Wow sounds very much like Jojo Mayer! i can tell u really like that guy, he kicks ass too. Keep it up man

  • very nice dude definately inspired by jojo mayer, keep up the fuckin tremendous work

  • fuckin sick drumming right there man.. ur fuckin awsome!!

  • man i love ur set !!!!

  • is that a zildjian 21" sweet ride?

  • is that a 21" zildjian sweet ride?

  • what does drum and bass mean?

  • pretty cool

  • omg

  • bravo.

  • good record

  • Wow thats real cool, i love drum and bass and smapled drumming and stuff like that and i try to make a style of drumming that sorta replicates it, but its hard, and i think you kidna suceeded where i failed, haha. Nice stuff. Mind u, ive only been going 1 and a half years and no lessons really.

  • are those drum heads just regular evans coated?

  • nice one! love drum n bass keep it up.

  • your a great player. very clean. and its technical too!

do you have lessons or are you self taught?

  • thanks! i have been taking lessons for 5 years, but i was self taught for a short period before that.

  • I dig it.

  • Coated G2s on the tom batters, coated G1 snare batter, stock PDP resos on toms, Amb. Snare reso on the snare, clear PS3 on the kick batter, Aquarian Regulator kick reso, no muffling inside the kick

  • Nice solo, keep'it'up ;)

  • Thanks:)

  • what type of bass pedal is that?

  • Pearl Eliminators with the blue cams in :)

  • Pearl Eliminator.. most of this is single bass, except for where it is clearly double bass later into it.

  • I like it a lot man. Nice stuff. Your traditional looks different than mine does but hey as long as it works for you and let's be honest it's working pretty well for you!!! I want to see more. lol

  • wow your good you switch alot i think it would be cool you got a started beat and worked up from that

  • on your double bass i wanted to say... cause your right leg is normal, but left lesser, i dont use Double Bass pedal, so better to be 1, cause there is tempo 150-200 so u can miss 1ms to play this note, and people can hear these sounds, even Jojo dont uses cardan... dunno maybe i'm wrong, but cardan is for rockers... in DnB there cant be bass at all, look what synth bass plays!!!

  • I am not sure what cardan is, but I didn't use and double bass in here until after the drum & bass stuff was done, remember, this is just a solo messing around, I didn't intend on this being a complete D&B song :).

  • i can tell 1 problem, same problem to me... i play 10 secs on Hi-Hat, then 10 on ride, 10 on hihat 10 on ride. i'm trying to practise to play 5 mins on hi hat simple grove with 1 break in 32 tabs... then on ride 5 mins, man dnb its hard.... i just started to practise. i play 5 years on drums, how much u play? that man who plays in this video? P.S. you need to work more on 2xFootage

  • I have been playing for 5 years too. I know, I do switch a lot, I am playing it in a simple strong structure, as in: verse, chorus, verse chorus type stuff. I know that D&B is more of a set loop type thing, but I was just messing around here for the most part :).

    And what is 2xFootage?

  • You have a Dennis Chambers snare drum?I want to buy one. What's your opinion about that snare?Thanx!Greetings froms Valencia Spain. What cymbals you have? They sound very good! You're a MASTER!

  • It is amazing! It is ridiculously versatile. Tune it low with looser snares for a huge, fat sound, great for funk or played dynamically and it works for lighter jazz. Tune it to a medium tension, and it has a responsive, resonant crack. Crank it and it doesn't choke, but just gets that tight, quick snappy sound. This is no money-making drum from Pearl. ANY drumhead sounds good on this head? From G1/Ambassador to Emperor X/ST Dry, this snare still has a sick tone.
