Loved his TNA run. Even tho he didn't get the title off of Double J, his run was still better than his WWE run! I know Raven/DDP happened in WCW, but I appreciated the reference and continuation of a classic story line, that WWE had in the grasp but chose not to go after, maybe because of ignorance or just not being creative enough to give these to great wrestles something to do that would entertain the fans!

@IDRINKLOTSOFBEER i might be wrong, but i think some gimmicks were "owned" by the wrestlers rather than the wrestling company, depending on who created the idea, and what the terms in contracts were. i was told thats why black machismo managed to get away with pretending to be randy savage for years, savage owned his gimmick rather than wwe, so he could lease it out without permission. not anymore though, since some have made cash from it, now everything is owned by vince.

They want "stars" to help put them on the map. WCW and WWF did it back in the day. Hell, in the territory days, wrestlers would eventually get around to working for just about every big territory there was, including overseas.

As for owning characters WCW nothing but a show on TV for many years the real company was Georgia Mid-South which was part of the NWA and never made or own any characters or gimmicks. Unlike WWE, WCW and TNA respect their employee's and don't try to steal their livily hood. By purchasing their character by contract, firing them and sending them back out in the cold.
