Andre is good, but I will take Calvin any day. Look at his stats? Sure, he lead the league in receiving yards, and receptions. He was on a much better team than Calvin, where they actually had a running game, so the defense had other people to worry about. Calvin had 37 less receptions, but only 244 less yards. He had 17.1 YPC to Andre's 13.7. Also, I will take 12 TDs over 8 for sure. TDs are what really count. I am not saying Andre isn't an elite receiver, but I would rather have CJ.
In a way, I believe Calvin Johnson will be the next Barry Sanders for Detroit. Obviously not the same position, but he'll put up monster numbers for a not so talented team.

Usually when a team takes an offensive line, the fans don't get that excited, but if I were a Lions fan and Detroit took an O-lineman, I'd go apeshit. If you look at all the bad organizations , they don't realize that you gotta build from in the inside to the outside. For example, the Raiders and the Rams (well the Rams get it, but they're rebuilding). Detroit has talent at the skilled position, but with no help up front, they will not win very many games b/c it starts up front.

Andre is good, but I will take Calvin any day. Look at his stats? Sure, he lead the league in receiving yards, and receptions. He was on a much better team than Calvin, where they actually had a running game, so the defense had other people to worry about. Calvin had 37 less receptions, but only 244 less yards. He had 17.1 YPC to Andre's 13.7. Also, I will take 12 TDs over 8 for sure. TDs are what really count. I am not saying Andre isn't an elite receiver, but I would rather have CJ.

In a way, I believe Calvin Johnson will be the next Barry Sanders for Detroit. Obviously not the same position, but he'll put up monster numbers for a not so talented team.

he is already lethal and the team has become respectable in the offseason signing proven starters on GOOD teams not like in the past when the lions would sign backups hoping to start... Dont be surprised if the lions get 6 to 8 wins. Also the only real glaring need w/ the lions is the interior Dline Depth.... and at the left tackle spot Jeff Sackus wont last, i think Eprhaim Saalam will start over him before the end of the season.

They've improved I can't argue that, but 6-8 wins? I think they'll be lucky to get 4 or 5. But here's to hoping CJ has a great season which in turn gives me a great (fantasy) season.

its really asahme they cant get a decent team around him..I remember tat 1 wk he went like 3 for a 100 n it was all on 1 bomb in houston..the fuckin team couldn't get him the ball alot of times during the season, pretty pathetic for an nfl team...just trade him to someone who can lol..

Usually when a team takes an offensive line, the fans don't get that excited, but if I were a Lions fan and Detroit took an O-lineman, I'd go apeshit. If you look at all the bad organizations , they don't realize that you gotta build from in the inside to the outside. For example, the Raiders and the Rams (well the Rams get it, but they're rebuilding). Detroit has talent at the skilled position, but with no help up front, they will not win very many games b/c it starts up front.

Physically, CJ is by far and away the best reciever in the league. Tall, fast, strong, can jump, and has arguably the best hands. hes a threat anywhere on the field
