FANtastic! Miss Anika is just one of the greatest acting talents around these days, and then her singing and incredible beauty! Loved her as Grace on HBO's "The #1 Ladies Detective Agency" (if you never saw the series, seek it out--great stuff). Plus, she breaks my heart on the "Caroline, or Change" cast recording. THEN, we get JRB and a kick-ass band--heaven!

@me148 I see what your saying but keep in mind its NOT a production the last 5 years, its Jason Robert Brown in concert with Anika Noni Rose so the story does not need to be conveyed as much as in the production of Last 5 years.

I don't like the "swinging"-ness. It loses legato....and the story doesn't come across as the "primary" goal of the song. With the original version, the acting really comes first, and it works.
