  • So, what would you do if Palin ends up becoming a nominee in 2012? Haha, it seems like each year, it just gets worse and worse. Each candidate gets worse and worse, and forces us into voting for the 'best' candidate, who sometimes turns out to be much worse than the other guy. I'm going to chalk it up to lobbyists and corporations gaining so much political power, so that anyone can be elected if they suck enough dick.

  • You'd rather have a monkey running it? Well, you got the lesser of those two evils when bush was running, at least.

Oh, and how does that sperm taste?

  • Young Turks I think you prediction comes true, more grease to your elbow. Keep sharpening your political instinct

  • Looks like you'll be choking soon :(

  • Ron Paul 2008!

  • Seriously you need to check your history, and not be so naive to Politicians...when their lives are on the line, they will do anything to stay out of the fire, and I mean anything.

  • Oh yes let us remember those Clinton scandal years of Whitewater, Impeachment, Suspicious death of Vince Foster, Pardoning the rich and crooked...that are just very few. Gross!

  • All those were fake scandals.

  • $70,000,000 and no convictions for whitewater, impeached for a blow job, vince forster murder is a myth and the pardons....well no ones perfect

  • Totally agree!!!! THANK YOU... until this post I thought all others on Young Turks were anti Clinton.... think of the bigger picture folks.

  • Of the three "big ticket" Dems, only Edwards supports a genuinely progressive agenda. That's an empirical fact. Obama is running on his supposed hatred of the war in Iraq. And Hillary's running on nostalgia. Edwards is more electable than either one. All polls suggest this. However, Edwards supports a genuine progressive agenda, and thus, the people who really call the shots don't want him.

  • Hillary has more support from working class voters than Obama does. If Edwards drops out it might help her more than Obama.

  • Neither are working class heroes, only Edwards is. Hillary is a bad thing for working people. Obama-- probably the same.

  • Still, she is better than Obama.

  • I like Obama, but he's not as knowledgable and experienced as Clinton. Wouldn't it be great if Obama ends up being her VP? 2 historic things.

  • I'd rather have neither.

  • whats the point in talking about politics if we have no power to persuade politicians once they're elected? So then we can write a couple letters to them begging them to own up to their promises? we need the right to vote. otherwise all this talk is just that. all talk. ni4d dot us

  • you know as well as I do that politics + legislature is terribly slow, especially when you have agendas that fly in the face of logic (ie republicans).

The best thing you can do is educate the public. I still believe that public opinion has a huge impact on most politicians.

Liberalism is human nature, your not born conservative. think about it, work with it...

  • I know exactly what you mean!

There's some other power system that exists regardless of who is power. That's what we've got to focus on. Elections matter, but until that's taken care of, we're always going to have a hard time.

I don't have an answer for how to take care of that bigger, systemic problem, other than to keep on keepin' on it.

  • agree 100%. Edwards better drop out before super tuesday is he still has a soul.

  • Yeah, but the longer Edwards stays in, the more he pushes Obama/Hillary to the progressive side of the spectrum, which is a very good thing. Especially considering the eventual nominee is going to slide back toward the center/right in the general election.

  • If Edwards can make a deal with Obama to be his VP if he wins the nomination, and in exchange, Edwards drops out and endorses Obama. . . that could be interesting.

  • It would certainly shake things up. I don't think Edwards wants to be seen as the guy who went for second place. Unfortunately, for him, the numbers seem to fall that way. I am actually hoping he will drop out so that his supporters will migrate to Obama. I think if Obama dropped out his supporters would more likely split between the other two.

  • Why would he drop out? OBAMA has a huge ass chance in winning! Kucinich didn't even drop out! LMAO!

  • I seriously doubt he would. I'm an Obama supporter. I was just speculating on "what ifs".

I'm looking forward to the next debate. I hope none of the candidates give the pundits any more headlines or ammo.

  • LOL....i just saw the Michigan results! Damn, Gravel can't even get a break! He still got 0%! This guy should have marketed himself better!!

  • that's what i say, but his supporters are meaner than Ron Pauls and just won't listen to me.

  • I almost feel bad! It's kinda embarrassing!! I don't know....his message isn't any different from Ron Paul's and Kucinich's!! I know he was going to suck, but damn people that got out of the race are doing better than this guy!

  • Obamarama is not going to drop out. Neither is Clintonian. Edwards will run out of time, money, and wife.. not being funny. So it's only when for him.

  • wife comment ... that's just wrong. Not even funny as you said, and didn't need to be there.
