We have heard his raw screams, in past covers. Whether this is edited or not, they sound great both raw and/or "edited". Just watch the cover and appreciate the music.

It actually is hard to really "edit" screams. Yes, EQ'ing them, compressing, and layering do make them sound better like any vocals, but you cannot tune them. Distorting them sounds awful, and there is no secret way to make them sound amazing. You can either scream or you can't. And David sure as hell can.

This guy only uses a better mic, slight compression (which makes the sound levels more equal), an equaliser (so the mic inaccuraties are being corrected) and a little reverb (so the dry recording matches the reverb level of the song). Don't sue him if you haven't recorded anything in your life before, this guy just has talent and understanding of basic studio recording ;)

The only way you should be able to hate is if you can do better. 90% of the people leaving hating comments can't do anything with vocals. Also, you have to edit your voice with certain effects because the cleans in WCAR are one of the most heavily edited ever.

But then again, there are many factors that affect the way a person songs. For example the singer for WCAR is always throwing down so he loses breath easily, etc, etc.
