  • Do you seperate the ball into 2 in the beginning, to double up the yarn? thanks!

  • I've made this and it worked fine for me. Take it slow, pause and replay the video and the parts that confuse you and watch the direction her hands move. It took me a while, but I finally got it. As for swimming, I don't recommend that, because as @99monee said, it will stay wet a long time, and perhaps get mouldy. This (as sorta shown in the video) is the kind of bikini top you'd wear outdoors when you really don't want to wear a shirt.

  • I don't understand instructions after K8, in other words the third decreasing row :\ Someone help a girl out?

  • @rysamar You're gonna continue on the purl side doing the p2t and on the knit side the k2t, until you only have two stitches left

  • Easy to follow.

  • Hmmm when I purl I bring my yarn from UNDER faster and neater.

  • @PureSniperWolf wat is the name of their website?

  • i can't find the pattern on their website -_-. it's like trying to find a penny in a tub of bbq sauce...

  • so youre going to be wearing a soaking wet bikini top thats going to smell like meldo after a while thats great

  • Dont get it at all. Thunb totally down X10

  • the purling part PISSES ME OFF how did you end up at that step? :S this video is done way too fast. frustrating as fuck.

  • there should be slow motion for some parts or something? TOTALLY lost . this is done too quick

  • I can't seem to work the first decrease right. There are only 7 stitches in front of the marker for some reason! Could someone please write out the pattern for the decrease rows, because I'm quite lost and really want to make this correctly!!

  • @rangasensei Your breasts are a different size than hers. Don't worry, the numbers aren't absolute.

  • Where is the width of the base of a boob?

  • thats all fine and dandy, but will it blend?

  • just made this really quick and it looks awesome! i love it! :)

i just learned how to knit last week and this was my first real project and im so proud of myself!

  • I advise that you DONT swim in this bikini!

  • @VoodooFairyx If you use the right yarn you can swim in it.

  • does Harry Potter cast on?

  • Great clip, thanks. I have found ebeginnersknitting (.) com to be very helpful also

  • also seems like something comfy to wear in the winter to sleep Xd keep the tatas warm. can't wait to try this :]

  • can i buy one ???

  • uhm, wont it hav holes in it??

  • damn thats tight!

    dope!

    lol

  • la2base.lt/main/index.php?do=ref&doaction=go&id=6815 please go to this

  • I just made this! It came out damn cute. Thanks for the tutorial!!!

  • lolol knit happenz.. subbed ^^ ty btw.

  • dont give that to respusha

  • Great tutorial - Thank you!!

  • lol that girl at the beginning must have some small boobs couldn't see anything(not that I even wanted to)...

  • u need bottoms to match.

  • funny beginning

  • Very nice and easy! Thank ya!

  • that was awsome next time can you do a sexy leopard swim suit plz

    thnxz

  • haha, this is pretty bad ass. i really need to learn to stitch!

  • This is a great project but wouldn't it be kinda uncomfortable? Maybe u could add some fabric on the underside were the bust would go just so it would be less wierd.

    *snip snip*

  • you could, but also, you can choose from such a variety of supplies to knit with. even strips of fabrics. they can be quite comfy even without a lining. only limited by your imagination :)

  • good idea! thx for the tips :)

  • Can you make a video about how to crochet a bikini top plzzz!!

  • would make this if I knew what purl stitch was

  • it's esentially a backwards knit stich, extremely easy to learn..

  • A purl stitch is where you slip your needle in front and stitch instead of in back.

  • look it up online silly, ur on the internet. If you know how to knit then you know what a purl stitch is. Its a basic stitch.

  • you can look it up on google, there are a lot of sites that helped me.

  • i made mine and im gonna wearit

  • can you actually swim with this if you knit it out of acrylic yarn?

  • was she realy naked in front of you guys

  • gonna say! When i saw the title, i thought wtf? If you wore that to the beach - wouldn't it get soggy...? xD

  • wow thats cool may b i should try that!

  • i like the skirt behind her at 0:53

  • tbh... the chick in the background near the end shoulda modeled it :/ my gf loves stuff like this

  • wait, did she just tell her how big her breasts are ? O.o........ ty :D

  • my last name . :)

    1:05 -- nguyen P:

  • lol that is awsome but here my big question can you swim with it?

  • @SarahbethUchiha you most likely can

  • well think about it. would you wear a knitted wool hat and swim? kon kon!! >w< so i dun think it wouyld be very nice to swim in, since it'll soak up water and end up being quite heavy.

  • Okay, so we have a top...

So can you make one on how to make a Bikini bottom?

(That top would also look REALLY cool with a thick multicolor yarn...)

(Reply to OTBcreations: it might work to sew a bit of thick-ish elastic into the bottom)

  • now you know how to knit a bikini top!......... so ur going to have to run around bottemless cause there's no bikini bottem...

  • 03:26 "You're going to knit nine stitches...'

i guess she forgot that proverbial one earlier that would have saved her the nine...

  • that girl don't have bewbies!

  • ROFL!

  • one girls nightmare is another mans dream :D

  • :D REALLY??what is i......oooooohhhhhhh yeah it is!!!!!!!!!1

  • lol

  • NicE

  • I really enjoyed making this, but wearing it was another matter....there's no support.

  • Itchy? try lining it with old undershirts!

  • hold on, let me get this straight...

you call that degrading to women when one of your favorite videos on your page is a chris brown video. HA!

this show is made by a womans' rights activist.

  • lol this looks kinda uncomfortable

  • and to find out how far to go in in decrease row im guessing you take the number of stitches minus four and divide by two to find how many to go in? lol i'm big into math so i need mathematical stuff in what i do XD

  • do you have to double the yarn if you buy a thicker kind?

  • Probably not. It just matters how thick it is.

  • as much as I despise knitting- she is great in explaining. women who knit are walking calculators!

  • call it a knitkini

  • I like this but won't be very hot in this bikini, ha? =)

  • I love how they're like, "nothing to wear to those summer festivals? LET'S KNIT A BIKINI TOP FOR ALL YOU TRASHY GIRLS OUT THERE!"

  • did anyone else giggle immaturely every time she said breasts and such?

  • No Dahling just you! :-)

  • she looked like she was going to crack a smile when she said nipple.. maybe it was just me.

  • But she gets full marks for keeping a straight face when she informed us that it's two inches from the base of her breast to her nipple.

  • this is kinda turning me on

  • especially the purl slow motion! :-D

    love this!

  • oh yeah 0_o , slow motion knitting gets me going too...

  • Glad im not alone...

  • thirding this... =/ haha

  • Rob is tooo funny!!!

  • not too fond of this....

  • Great show guys, but I was just watching some of your old stuff and realized I miss your old commercials!

  • LOLz

  • i cannot knit for anything- I think it requires counting- never! OK, luckylly I do not need bikiny :-).

..By the way I LOVE Threadbanger, thank you SO much!!!

  • question if you knit or crochet a swimsuit with redheart yarn does it change cover in pools that have clorine in them?

  • isn't redheart yarn kinda itchy? simply soft is awesome XD

  • Redheart is super itchy. D: That's why I can't understand wanting to wear this all day in the summer heat.

  • knitting makes my brain hurt. it looks so hard haha

  • yeay! threadbanger you've brought back the old spark!

  • awesome!!!

  • Thanks you make thing so easy!!!! At 45 I can finally make something other than a damned square, don't worry it;s not going to be for my saggy boobs my daughter has already ordered one off me!! LOL

  • haha the guys' faces at the end were funny

  • much better work here than usual in regard to sizing a project to the individual.. unfortunately its for a bikini top (chunky girls, shafted again)... I second the comment about figuring out how to make this into a tankini top...

  • you could knit or crochet a panel and simple sew or crochet that to the bottom of the cups.

  • Chunky girls, shafted again.. lol ..

  • I wonder if you can add a bit more to this for a tankini-style.

  • Oh my golly golly goshness....I got it!!! X D

  • you can also leave 3-5 stitches at the tops of the cups and knit "I" cord for the top ties, and you can slip your needles through the same number of loops on the corners at the back of the cups to knit "I" cord side ties as well.

  • *sigh* This is driving me bonkers....

  • I'm having trouble after the part with the knit marker...she says to knit eight and then two together....but eventually, there isn't even eight casted on....how do I continue to double knit?? My bikini top isn't turning into a triangular shape but more of a bell shape...HELP!!!!!

  • "knit happens"... xD

  • Now that I've been taught how to purl stitch....I can't believe how easy this project really is!! I think this is one of the more easier vids you guys have ever posted. THANKS THREAD BANGERS, YOU GUYS ROCK!!! Now if you'll excuse me, I have a bikini top to knit!!!

  • The start is so funny! Corrine's face :L

  • lol and rob trying to sneak peek:D

and at the end he looked a bit dissapointed:D

  • I don't think these are meant to be worn in water. Even if you buy a crocheted bikini in the store it says "for sunbathing only, do not use for swimming"

  • "multiply this number by four and round this number to the nearest even number."

    how did nobody catch that?

  • What do you mean? If your measurement isn't a whole number then you could end up with a decimal number that you would need to round...

  • Crochet instructions please?>

  • Click the red link in the upper left hand corner of the video at 1:26.

    Hope that helps :)

  • lt will be a challenge but i will do it during my vacations yeahh!! can u guys do it for crochet as well? it willl be easier for me thank u!!!!

  • I don't even know what went on in the video, my attention was on the cute petticoat in the background!

  • Neat idea, but will it stretch in the water?

  • acrylic yarn will definitely stretch!

  • yeah i wouldn't wear it in the water.

  • I suppose that all depends on the material you use. Best to check the label beforehand.

When I was 3 or 4, my mum knitted me a bikini to wear in the paddling pool. It looked really cute, but itched like hell when I got it wet.

  • *grabs her purple yarn and get to work!*

    ~Kat

  • I wonder how well this would work with t-shirt yarn or plarn *scratches beard in thought* hmm *grins evil-y*

  • love this .... beginner knitter here but would love it in crochet format just in case it doesn't work out in knitting :)

  • im a beginner knitter too and it was very easy for me.

  • Dammit, I could have worn this to undie run the other night.

  • I am not a knitter, does anyone know who to translate this pattern to crocheting? I would love to make one for my sister!!

  • this looks fun (:

  • Aah. Do want to learn knitting now

  • If I could knit, I'd so make this! Except, I'd just have one top strap, loop it around the neck, and attach it to the other cup. That's just me though.

  • I agree, less work that way. But then you have to make sure it's the exact length you want it so you can just slip it on. Not as adjustable. *shrugs*

  • Now That's a Beard!

  • nice

  • so funny!

  • if i had boobs i could do this(:

  • Make them for you friends!! : D Or make them and sell them! I'm from Oregon and we're a bunch of knit-loving hippies...we'd by it !!

  • Cute skits at the beginning and end. LOL. I cannot knit either. I tried to learn by purchasing one of those $10 kits and failed. I am not ready to try again. LOL.

  • try again the first time my mom tried to teach me i failed misrably. i tried again like a month later and now ive gotten really good at it

  • WOW! I love this! Great idea with the cable needle! I bet for more stable straps you could make a I-cord instead of a chain.Awesome tut. you guys!

  • wow nice video thumbnail on that one XD DFTBA

  • i <3 the beginning it is sooo funnyXD

  • dont have to walk around toppless...unless you want to lol

  • it seems really hard to knit like that. why do you hold the remaining yarn with your right hand? if you hold it with your left you don't have to release it all the time, instead you can just hook it up with your knitting-needle.

  • love D.I.Y. stuff! Knitting is so fun, I want to make a knit bikini and a crochet one! Great tut, TB!

  • Hola soy Ana de colombia, me encantan sus videos !!!! Felicitaciones!!

Hello im Ana from Colombia... I love your videos. (sorry for the BAD english). Congratulations!!!

  • I can't knit to save my life XD
