I love all the negative comments on these bikes. Did the "falling apart" bikes have abusive owners? I put blue loctite on all my bolts and I have YET to have a SINGLE problem other than the loctite. Great on fuel, decent power and parts can be bought online for DIRT CHEAP! I have a 2011 gio X31 250 and it's a god damned nice bike for $869.45 from giobikes d0t c0m.
@goofyexponent Um, not to burst your bubble but i have a kawi and i dont need to loctite any bolts, They never rattle off.My bike isnt the cheapest things to replace parts on, but you rarely need to, and a dealership WILL take it in.I mean i can get all of theese trick parts for it, because there are so many out there. . My buddy had a hensim and it was always kinda wierd.
@hondafreak44 I know what you are saying, but for an extra $200 I shaved teh head down 0.030, and fly cut the piston's valve reliefs a little deeper. I raised my compression ratio a point or so by doing this. A true Mikuni Carb (30mm) included in that $200...and this thing will ROCK the socks off ANY stock Gio...she will run closer to a CRF250F in the power department, maybe not suspension, but she will RUN!

On that craigs site you can find fully built KLX110's for the price of one of these new. I would recommend doing that or going with one of the American companies who are more involved with the development. There are a few great Chinese made/American designed pit bikes from 1500 to whatever you want to spend. And they hold up well at the track with tons of aftermarket parts available. The bike in this video is NOT one of those bikes btw.
dont buy one a these yur beter off geting a fuckin 15 year old even 20 year old honda yamaha etc yu will have problems with any machine thats a given but atleast when it comes time to do so yu can get the fuckin parts you need and they wont be broke again in a week and a old bike that is a qaulity brand with equal or even smaller engine size will smoke one a these

it doesn't matter if the bolts are tightened, the metal is so weak that it fatigues after a day of riding, the gear shifter will go then the break then the shocks and everything else soon after that
they are only like 1500 bucks, real japanese quality bikes are like 7000......for the money they arent that bad....you cant expect japanese quality for that cheap....for the price though its not a bad bike...
You can complain about chinese bikes all you want but the way I see it they are helping more people ride and get into the sport which is always a good thing.

look, i have lived in china, and i am going to give some advice fro anyone who wont to buy a china bike.
basicaly dont even think about it because the facts are it will brake. all the frame is just bent steal tube welded together. i once owned one. the back brake will go first. then probaly the gear level. nut and bolt fall of. the electrics will fail and so on

Everytime the kids ride the chinese bikes there is something that goes wrong. when the ride the RM80, DS80's and PW80 nothing goes wrong. Never need to do anything to them. YZ125's go hard. If I got this chinese 250 on here it would never have been able to cope with how hard i can ride the WR. Ride hard!!!

Why do they put radiator shrouds on a bike with an air cooled engine? There is no radiator, no liquid cooling system. These bikes are crap and you look like a fool to veteran riders. BTW good luck getting parts or service for this bike. Tread lightly for the bikes sake. LOL

I've watched a lot of videos on u-tube for the Chinese bikes,and in most of them it seems the riders are inexperienced and probably don't maintain them properly.Many of the owners appear to be TRYING to break them. They seem to be decent and cheap trail bikes if ridden correctly and maintained.Obviously they aren't meant for true racing and someone who pays $1000 for a new bike and expects it to hold up through major abuse is going to be disappointed. Use them as intended and stop falling over.

The bike looks good and runs well because it has not been ridden. Chinese bikes are complete garbage. This bike will become a disposal problem for the owner after about the 3'd ride. Chinese bikes are a complete waste of money, the are total, absolute crap.
These chinese bikes do have significantly lower quality. I've had mine for about a year now and a few little issues have popped up but I've managed to keep it running for a whole season for $60 including gas. I'm a beginniner and some of the guys I ride with spend $1000/year on rebuilds, upgrades & new tires. Thats what I paid for my entire bike. If I get another season out of it then It doesn't owe me a penny. Overall I'm happy with my purchase

Ive had mine for a long time now.... and it is fine of course i have never dropped or wrecked it.... Its a good bike for trail riding and things like that... If you are wanting to race and put it through hell than you should buy a jap bike..

Many Chinese factories use machine tools made in Japan, Switzerland, and Germany. Just because the machine tool is located in China and operated by a Chinese worker and not the USA or Japan doesn't mean it will automatically produce junk. You CAN produce crap on a $60,000.00 CNC mill or lathe, or other type of machine but the main determining factor is the machine operator, the quality of raw materials used, and the quality control and inspection process.
Look, like I said, the Japanese companies subcontract to China anyway.
China is fully tooled and capable of making just about anything. The quality of the final product has more to do with the design and the standard set by the manufacturer.
If I want to produce a product I have designed, it's up to me to pick the factory in China that makes it. I assure you that the Chinese industrial base is CAPABLE of making an EXACT clone of ANY name brand Japanese motorcycle.

You'd say 7 to 8 times cheaper? (Next time use spell check man.) If you can pick a chinese one up for 1200, and a good used jap bike for 4000, then 4000/1200 = 3.3. And what about resale value? You could get 3000 easy for your jap bike 2 years from now, but not get anything for the chinese one. So if you look in the long run, you spent 1000 on the jap bike and 1200 on the chinese! And you still had to ride that slow, unreliable chinese bike for 2 years!!

look, i have lived in china, and i am going to give some advice fro anyone who wont to buy a china bike.
basicaly dont even think about it because the facts are it will brake. all the frame is just bent steal tube welded together. i once owned one. the back brake will go first. then probaly the gear level. nut and bolt fall of. the electrics will fail and so on

@The1991Firebird do not buy anything chinese! my mate had a chinese quad and everything broke on it! petrol pipe kept falling off, then it bust, the tires are shit electrics are crap! the best way to put it is avoid all the chinese crap! they always look good but they are put together with the cheapest parts going! if you want some real fun go fore a yamaha or something! iv got a 2005 yz125 and also a yamaha blaster! never had one problem with either of them!

@killerpigeon347 Yeah Killer you are spot on. I bought a Brand new 2010 Yamaha WR450F instead. We have got 7 motorbikes in ours house. We have 2 chinese and the rest japanese. Everytime the kids ride the chinese bikes there is something that goes wrong. when the ride the RM80, DS80's and PW80 nothing goes wrong. Never need to do anything to them. YZ125's go hard. If I got this chinese 250 on here it would never have been able to cope with how hard i can ride the WR. Ride hard!!!

Why do they put radiator shrouds on a bike with an air cooled engine? There is no radiator, no liquid cooling system. These bikes are crap and you look like a fool to veteran riders. BTW good luck getting parts or service for this bike. Tread lightly for the bikes sake. LOL

Imagine how easily the cast aluminium headstock will break if they don't make it PERFECTLY with all the right heating and cooling proceedures. If anyone rides a chineese bike at serious speed, they are takeing a serious risk. I have recently heard about a death via headstock breakage.

I've watched a lot of videos on u-tube for the Chinese bikes,and in most of them it seems the riders are inexperienced and probably don't maintain them properly.Many of the owners appear to be TRYING to break them. They seem to be decent and cheap trail bikes if ridden correctly and maintained.Obviously they aren't meant for true racing and someone who pays $1000 for a new bike and expects it to hold up through major abuse is going to be disappointed. Use them as intended and stop falling over.

The bike looks good and runs well because it has not been ridden. Chinese bikes are complete garbage. This bike will become a disposal problem for the owner after about the 3'd ride. Chinese bikes are a complete waste of money, the are total, absolute crap.

These chinese bikes do have significantly lower quality. I've had mine for about a year now and a few little issues have popped up but I've managed to keep it running for a whole season for $60 including gas. I'm a beginniner and some of the guys I ride with spend $1000/year on rebuilds, upgrades & new tires. Thats what I paid for my entire bike. If I get another season out of it then It doesn't owe me a penny. Overall I'm happy with my purchase

It seems that the people that complain about the chinese bikes are the ones who go trying to race them and wreck the crap out of them. If you just fart around on it, it only has like 10-15hp it wasn't built for speed and endurance. Hence the $1200 price tag.

My first bike was a cheap Chinese import, it lasted a year and I'm very happy that I bought it as my first bike because I made all my first-time-rider mistakes on it.
There are other practical reasons for buying a cheap Chinese. Most people are just to stupid to notice.

Many Chinese factories use machine tools made in Japan, Switzerland, and Germany. Just because the machine tool is located in China and operated by a Chinese worker and not the USA or Japan doesn't mean it will automatically produce junk. You CAN produce crap on a $60,000.00 CNC mill or lathe, or other type of machine but the main determining factor is the machine operator, the quality of raw materials used, and the quality control and inspection process.

China is fully tooled and capable of making just about anything. The quality of the final product has more to do with the design and the standard set by the manufacturer.
If I want to produce a product I have designed, it's up to me to pick the factory in China that makes it. I assure you that the Chinese industrial base is CAPABLE of making an EXACT clone of ANY name brand Japanese motorcycle.

You could get 3000 easy for your jap bike 2 years from now, but not get anything for the chinese one. So if you look in the long run, you spent 1000 on the jap bike and 1200 on the chinese! And you still had to ride that slow, unreliable chinese bike for 2 years!!

wer i belong,i can get one similar to the one above 1500$ while goin for a honda xr or ney othr good trail woul cost more then 9000$ here in asia we have all sorts of chines bikes n no mater how hard u bitchem they aint goin no wer until a year and i gues thats mor thn enugh and resal shouldnt be a prob if the partcular model is comon so here the concept is y not buy a brand new bike and use it for a yer and dump it or wat eva rather then buying a second hand and dealing with its nonsense gl
