I love love love Emilie, but this performance is mediocre at best. She seems exhausted. She has a wonderful voice, but it's not coming through here at all- plus the fake harpsichording was enough to turn me off. It's a shame she didn't do better, seeing as she was on television. I have a feeling it turned a lot of viewers off.

Well, to be fair, this wasn't the normal kind of setting for her. It was a news production. Her music and performance are quite dark. She still did great in my opinion. Of course I tend to admire people who aren't afraid to take risks with their art like this. Even if it freaks out many of the "normal" people sipping their lattes while they watch the news. She gets to take them out of their comfort zone as well.

Actually, the reason she's probably sick is because she's straining her vocal muscles. She's got a lot of shows all very close together and singing hard (and wonderfully) each night without a break really can damage your voice.

I hope she gets better soon. In time for her Sydney show. So excited for it <3
