@nikolai1uno He posted with this quality because now we now "rush playing yyz in austin, texas",if a person had a camera at every rush concert we would have all their concerts filmed
BY THE WAY,For those of you who here like complex guitar solos, listen to rush´s guitar solo from the song cut to the chase.Crazy shit
@nikolai1uno are u dumb this qualitly is amazing for a camera like damn Geddy Got all close for the solos and u can see his skill in action right in front of u this is the best recorded version ive seen of anything comming from a cammera NICE JJOB
After watching this a second time that drum set is smokin after that song!! How old is Peart? is he around 60 yrs old? DAMN!! Hes doing it like hes 25.
waaay different meaning. as in, lots of rock bassists use jazz bass, but if a guitarist uses an f-hole guitar like lifeson did here, usually it'll not be for rocking the night out.
It's not a "jazz guitar." It's his prized 1976 Gibson ES-355, custom built to his specifications by Gibson after they gave him a VIP tour of the factory in 1976. He once said in an interview that when he received it and opened up the case, it was so beautiful he almost cried. In closeups, you can see his name stamped on the nameplate on the bottom of the headstock.
Anyway, ES-355's are not "jazz guitars" per se. The pickups are hotter than a typical jazz guitar.
Dag Alex Lifeson can still rock it! They all can. Geddy's bass playing is the same as it was in 1981. And can't forget Neil Peart's vigor on the drums is the same too. This band kicks ass!
Cool!! no group will ever duplicate the talent of these three incredibly gifted players! They are with out a question the absolute best three man group to ever play period!!!! YYZ and thats all that can be said!!!!!
Their last tour ended last year, but these are the original members. Neil Peart on percussion, Alex Lifeson guitars, and Geddy Lee Lead vocals, bass, synths.
i am completely jealous. rush is one of my favorite bands ever, and you got to see them! THIS DAMN CLOSE! and geddy came up to you like that cause he saw you had a camera =P XD once in a lifetime. i bet everyone who seen this is jealous. XD thumb me up if ur jealous of this guy. >_> XDDDD still AWESOME PERFORMANCE GUYS!
the most grooviest opus of metal masterpiece that i've ever heard.. since i was a kid. my uncle was a big rush, deep purple, uriah heep, the beatles and led zep fan when i was 6 yrs. old! and so--
so again-- the most grooviest opus of prog rock masterpiece!
I envy the maker of this video so much for seeing Geddy Lee play that up close. I was lucky enough to get my picture backstage with them at the Atlanta show, so I guess thats great too : )
rush simply are the best talented musicians on earth, and will always be, Neil Peart is amazing, even after losing 2 family mmbers in a year, Geddy Lee is just undescribable and Alex (i forgot) is said that he has the easiest part to play in this song!!!!
These guys are awesome. I love the album moving pictures. The bass is especialy good. Niel on drums. and I love the guitar for this song. Go Rush. Go San Antonio.
Awesome close up of Geddy. I am seeing them in two days in Winnipeg Canada but I will be 20th row on the floor, so it won't be as close as your great view. I am sure it going to sound awesome from where I will be. I am glad you posted this video. Sounds like Austin really had a great concert back in April.
Great footage. I was at the show but further away. Those shots of Geddy Lee are priceless. I can't help but have a big ass grin on my face watching this footage.
Glad you like them. I'm uploading more, too. I've seen them probably 15 times, and this time around I decided to try to get lots of great video and still shots, because I had never gotten any good ones before. Glad I did it, even though security was constantly throwing threats at me. Stick it to the man! Thanks Rush for a very fun night!
15 TIMES! Wow that footage is better than most footage from their DVD sets man.
I almost think this shouldn't be illegal because this really promotes the awesomeness of a live Rush concert. After watching videos like this back in January I was convinced that I had to see them live, and finally will for the first time in just over 3 weeks :D:D::D Keep uploading, man :)
zachkotetsu: Happy birthday! It was my birthday too. :) I wasn't there, but this video goes a long way to showing those of us who weren't there what it was like. Can't wait for June 7th. We'll be seeing them in KC!
