Most Hawaiian people pronounce it uk, which is the traditional way, whereas the yuke pronunciation came from the american people. so he is saying it the correct way and no yuke is not correct, it is just more commonly used in the continental states and other places around the world.
@sclongisawesome That's not how traditional Hawaiians pronounced it as that would mean that the word goes against traditional Hawaiian pronunciation keys.
@sclongisawesome In fact, he's actuall pronouncing it a more modern English way. Which I guess technically means he is pronouncing it correctly, however it is more common to use the more traditional way with a long u.
@patrick20210 I am fully aware that Quebec is a Provence in Canada, I am saying that Quebecois are extremely racist, and want to split apart from Canada. you know the bloc Quebecois? they're main goal is to split Quebec from Canada, because they thin that Quebec is better then Canada. Quebec sucks. does not deserve to be in such a great country as Canada.
@MrLongboardification It is G-String. The owner and main luthier of the company made his 2 custom ukuleles for him after he released his first album. There have been reproductions by G-String for this particular model, marketed as the James Hill signature model. They were discontinued when James stopped exclusively using G-String. There are still quite a few floating around, but they'll cost you a pretty penny. When they were still in production, they went for about $3000.
@politirin I've taken workshops in Canada with James and his mentors. They used ADF#B (not A at the end) open cord tuning. I used a capo to match their tuning. I could've used GCEA but Chalmers Doane insisted me to use the open D cord. Listen to the tuning of his ukulele carefully as James explains the music. It's a higher tone than the open C cord.
Dang! I love the tapping thing he does... When I was there I was all like, "What the heck! Is that even possible!" Same thing when he did 'Billie Jean'.... This dude's got some total pure and true talent....
All the Canadians do.... Tiffany A., Annie P., Justin Bieber..... I think their blood is just musically spiked....
Bravo.... But can he play a G chord??? I think not!
