@17865329 I don't know, I love all of their albums (apart from Everything Must Go ofc) and I think Aja in particular is a real masterpiece. But I do agree that this album has probably the biggest range and longevity of all their work.
@upstart555 I'm betting it's a Rhodes, rather than Wurlitzer. Either way, it's insanely cool. This was always one of my favorite tracks from the 'Dan; I played it in one of my first bands as a High School sophomore back in '79. Nobody knew what it was and assumed it was an original, which was pretty neat.
@FreedomZealot If you set up a Wurly next to a Rhodes and play this, the Wurly will
sound just like the record. The Rhodes would take a lot of tweaking to get even close and still wouldn't fool you in a side by side comparison. In fact I always cite this as one of the best examples of a Wurly in a great rock song.
@NYerintransit Thanks very much! I know what you mean about just leaving Dan songs as music only, as some videos on Youtube actually put me off songs in the past. So, I wanted to make one that didn't force my own interpretation of the song too much, simply reinforcing some of the more obvious themes etc.

@Krolblach Funny you say that, cause I agree, not that this is a bad video it isn't, but I got more out of just watching the one that has only the "Can't buy a thrill cover", because I could concentrate on Fagen's great vocal and how tight they were when they were really a band.

Normally, I don't want to associate Steely Dan's songs with any music videos.
