It cracks me when these Obama worshippers say he's a smart man. How do they know he's a smart man? He still hasn't released his school records. He said we are on a "jobless recovery". How can you have a recovery when people are still losing jobs? People jumped on the 57 state gaff Obama made - how come nobody mentioned that he said he still had ONE MORE to visit!? Do these people know (or care) that Obama does a lot of his own speechwriting? That those words on the teleprompter during his biggest speeches have been his own?
Personally, the gaffes of Bush I always found most amusing were "we don't torture" and "smoking gun in the form of a mushroom cloud". I'll take "57 states" when he means "57 primaries and caucuses" over lies and war crimes every time.
Each president since Eisenhower --- as well as every blowhard on Fox News --- uses a teleprompter.

Everyone who speaks publicly stumbles over words sometimes. Look at what they say when they don't stumble. Isn't it good to finally have a smart president? So they bore you...too many big words?
Obama writes his own speeches? Heh. He doesn't. John Favreau writes all his speeches. Obama screws up all on his own. The only one he wrote was his inaugural speech, and it got a tepid reception compared to his other speeches that Chris Matthews tingles running up his leg. Lies and war crimes? Haha... way to be brainwashed. I guess it's not a big surprise if you think Obama writes his own speeches. If you want to go the route of lies, count how many Obama has had in his first 100 days.
If you don't want to look things up for yourself, I can't force you. Favreau doesn't write everything. The race speech for example. You repeat dittohead talking points and call someone else brainwashed?
I think the real issue here is not so much the amount of gaffes made by either Bush or Obama. The real issue for me is the media bias and the reality that had Bush made some of these comments, it would be all over the media within minutes. I was not a Bush fan and I am not an Obama fan. But its silly that the media cant be more mature and cover each president with fairness. Fox is too conservative and CNN is too liberal. Why cant the media just report the facts?
You're not quite catching my point. I didn't say anything about bias. Listen to what they say not when they stumble over their words, but what they say when they speak clearly. That's when you wonder how Bush ever got taken seriously.
