I absolutely love the BBC's science programs! Sadly though, I think the USA has lost it's throne as the top scientific super power, mostly thanks to the evangelical christian / bible belt infection that's been spreading throughout this country like a malignant cancer, ruthlessly devouring all reason and marching straight back towards the bronze age. It's no secret that the UK now leads the way.
While informative and interesting, I really want to bitch slap the cameraman who shot this. Perhaps he thinks it's an artistic touch to wobble the camera but after a while it's just downright irritating. And the zoom to focus -whoah to much- back up - there - now wobble the camera.. that sucks too. I hope he has a new line of work or at least learned his lesson.
BBC Documentaries Rules! clear scientific explanation not the crap that Discovery Channel presents. Just look at the way BBC explains Quantum theory in the series with Jim Al-Khalili and the way Discovery explains it .
@dcfreak13 because it's over in a VERY short space of time and the water in your skin takes most of the heat and turns to steam. Dont get me wrong you still get burnt VERY badly some times.
@dcfreak13 because it's electricity, not fire so it travels into the ground in a millisecond. if it would stay on your body like a fire for 3 seconds your a pile of ash. and it's not 3 times it's 5 times
Zeus have an orgasm was Discovery channel's explanation on lighting.
