  • Very helpful thanks

  • THANKS! :)

  • Extremely helpful thank you.

  • Not gr8 I ave seen better it wud b better if u talked thru it rather than writing

  • @JordyModZz yeah maybe, but I don't feel particularly comfortable talking into a camera

  • we cant walk when were a baby cuz our muscles are developing?

  • @Uchiha224499 correct

  • how do i get to stay longer on my hands?

  • @Uchiha224499 step 1. learn how (by watching the tutorial). Step 2. Practice

  • i can tell in the last video that you are focusing on youre balance with youre finger tips and wrists

  • @natcomber13, what is a tricker?

  • tutorial on step out?

  • Umm, When i come out of handstands my wrists hurt. Is that normal? Or do i need to do some type of conditioning?

  • @FHPKAllDay yeah it is pretty hard on the wrists, which is why I suggested doing wrist conditioning in the tutorial

  • @mopnceo No! I will not 'cut the song' just cos a couple of ignorant people couldn't work out how to turn the sound down, most people would rather have something than a silent video.

  • this is an amazing video helped heaps

  • Amazing

  • hmm.....used this to train by myself for about 5 months.....and still can't go in a handstand and defintly not hold it......i dont kow why....

  • I should mention that muscle to do the handstand please help and respond

  • must tighten the buttocks to the handstand

  • mis is the school i am going to

    the background seemed similar

    anyway good video !!!

  • is that MIS

  • @MAGICMANCARLOS I don't know. What is MIS? :S

  • that I put body parts hard to do a good handstand

  • Well, this guy demonstrates good balance and all, but in gymnastics we learn to keep the ears back by the arms. When the head is tilted up you get a big arch in the back.

  • @georgert you are right, but the main focus of the video was the techniques of learning to hold the handstand. I did say not to tilt the head out too much, but in my opinion balancing is pretty much impossible if you can't see your hands haha, plus the majority of people watching this video are not gonna be gymnasts, but people who wanna learn it more recreationally, so I figured it didn't matter so much :)

  • lol i rolled out of a handstand...when i tried it again...i messed up and landed straight on my back lol...i'll practice the step out so i can do it on woodfloor

  • HOW CAN I EVEN KEEP MY BACK STRAIGHT WHEN IM LOOKING AT MY HANDS WONT WORK FOR ME

  • @ImDeathNote for a quick fix Pull in your abbs - tighten/squeeze your Gluteus Max to the max - Push with your hands /palm press... Lift everything else up (sky-ward)

Long-term = Hollow body-rocks i.e; Lay on your back in a solid hand stand position and rock to and fro (alternating side twists steps the game up!) Oh and practice looking at your toes ie "pike" that should do the trick

    (•_-_|m/

  • I already know how to do a handstand, but I can't hold it for long. Do you think that if I practice for a month everyday I'll be able to?

    Thanks! :)

  • @fasinantee absolutely, you got the basics, just practice practice practice! :)

  • @natcomber13 Hey and what about dealing with blood rushing to your head? I can do a handstand pretty well and reasonably long. Here's a video of mine doing one: /watch?v=ltIuRCe8EAEfeature=channel_video_title. Let me know what I can do to improve

  • @balletroxmysox123 yeah its not bad and is most definitly better than the 009 sound system or whatever

  • how long should one work on HPUS training 3 mins or 10 mins? I am taking short brakes

  • This is a really nice video; helpful for my sister and I.

  • Very good tut

  • whene i roll from a handstand position do this over my shoulder

  • @JannisAdmek well, my way is the gymnastics method, but if you're not a gymnast then that's fine; it's just better than landing flat on your back :P

  • Fundamental... BIGGG WORDDDD

  • Best way to practice for the handstand are two things: Against the wall and under the water such as pool. It will help. :)

  • Try to have your feet pointy. It will make you look like a professional. :)

  • Just for the record.. i LIKE the music:)

  • how do you actually push on your wrist to prevent from falling back

  • so useful, thanks great tutorial

  • what are powerballs? is it a yoga ball or something? Dynaflex?

  • thanks, man. good tutorial!

  • I tried to do it, but I kept on falling any tips?

  • JESUS CHRIST IS GOD, that's clear. He said: I and the Father are one. Seek Him and get saved !

  • my friend can hold one for 6 min. while walking around on his hands!

  • bad chocie of music dude

  • @jamaster500 See the button in the bottom left? Not the play/pause one, the one that looks like a speaker. try clicking on it, and turning the sound down until you can no longer hear my 'bad choice of music', that should help

  • @jamaster500 how is this bad ?

  • my ability to handstand seams to vary so much between day to day ... last week I could kick up and hold for about 10 seconds sometimes .. last couple of days never more than 2 or 3. what should I do to sustain progress does anyone think?

  • 100,000th viewer!

  • donee itt tnx very good tutoria ;),w8ing for more.. cartwell backspining etc..

  • very cool man tnx ..i almost did it :X:X :D tnx

  • Right after watching this video I tried holding my invert, I fell, and my knee hit my chin. It's bleeding. hahahah

  • Whats up with the fucked up music man!

    Why?

  • @MoesDesigns I can't understand why it bothers you so much, but if it really is a problem, just turn the sound off! Don't let it take away from the content of the video, please

  • your back is arched, your belly is sticking out, your head should be tucked in with your eyes to the ground and you're not hollow

  • lol at 0:57 it looks like hes droped his contacts an is stumbling round for them

  • helped AAA LLLOOOTTT THANX

  • my personal record on holding a handstans is 41 second, ive got a friend who used to do gymnastics, shes pretty good, he holded a hansdtand for 117 seconds

  • Wow, u hold it really long!

  • is it really only the lower arms that needs strength to do a handstand? don't you need to have a controlled core and legs too?? cuz when i do handstands i control my wrists juss fine. but when i like move my feet juss a little bit i fall down... ughhh.. PLEASE HELP ME!

  • @krnriceboi619 yep, you need to keep your core and legs tight too, otherwise you will end up like the 'bad' shape

  • i cant balance a handstand occasionally i can but i always flip of and do the picture at 1:31 lmao

  • nice vid. bro. thx. for sharin

wish u luck in ur challenges...n carry on

  • lol at the bad shape XD

  • hey, ive got the handstand but my problem is holding it i can prevent myself from going over foward with my fingers but digging in my palms to not fall back is hard for me, do you have to do it at the right time because i might being doing it to late or to early and its not working do you have any tips :)

  • Your tip on holding the handstand was SUPER helpful. You're brilliant. Thanks so much!!

  • @natcomber13 why can't we try the handstand roll on concrete?

  • @SkateNc1000 I would have thought that was bloody obvious! It will hurt

  • ohhhhhhhhhh i can do that in my sleep

  • Thanks for this very good tutorial.

How do you mantain your balance once you're in a handstand? Any tips or drills to improve balance?

  • the music is kinda creepy lol

  • This tutorial is pretty good but handstand is not only about technique... The handstand is, first of all, a strenght skill. So your tutorial should concentrate more and the various ways of developing strenght for a good handstand.

You should mention handstand push ups, planche progression, back lever and the other exercises that will definitely improve the handstand itself a lot. The results are faster. That's why you spent several years just for holding the handstand more than 2-3 seconds.

  • @Dark515Rogue You are absolutely correct, obviously the greater your arm and core strength the easier this will become. I don't know how experienced you are in gymnastics, but in my opinion the best way of improving strength for handstands is to do LOADS of handstands, the exercises you said are all much more difficult, but less specific

  • @Dark515Rogue hi do you think you could send some of these exersizes to me through a message? thanks

    chris.

  • @Dark515Rogue if your such a master why u lookin up a tutorial vid.... cunt

  • @0lykperry0 pointless comment ;)

  • i have tried pushing my fingers/heels in the ground and it doesnt help sometimes. :(

  • Ty you are a genius thank you for showing me your idea of a handstand it was brilliant many people I ask couldn't explain as well as you did. You made it simple GJ brilliant. O brilliant.

  • u rly need to not curve your back wen your doing a handstand.it will help u balance better.im not saying that your bad u r actually vry good but im just giving some advice :)

  • Fanx bro :)

  • Vai toma no cu animal

  • mainly when i do handstands, my legs start to lurch forward then i collapse. is there anyway to stop this, or is my back causing that to happen?

  • @iPianoAzn a good way to keep yourself from going forward is to suck n your stomah so your back is straight.that will get your back to stay stiff and straight instead of a curved back that will make the legs become unbalanced and swing forward.

  • @doylehal000 thanks man, ill try that :D

  • @iPianoAzn your welcome :)

  • I tried rolling out of a handstand and kneed myself in the face. Never again.

  • wow, youre like scaryy good, :O Whats a power ball?

  • @LishaRee12 google it

  • Comment removed

  • my handstandproblem is i am not still, my legs do what they want, can you help me?

  • @MrBlubb92 squeeze your legs, the muscles in your back and brace your core muscles. You want your whole body to be tight.

  • i cant do it .... :(

  • I´ve finisched handstand but i cant stand on an handstand !!

i can stand 5-6 seconds and then i fell down :S!

  • The wrist movement really helps! I used to try doing a handstand completely rigid. Now I can move my arms and hands to adjust and actually balance!

  • do you tighten your abs? or relax your whole body?

  • @ShennyBoy23 Your core should be tight to stop your back arching

  • that was an exxelent tutorial, apart from the song around the middle, but it was awsome.

dont be put off by bad comments and keep your tuts as ong and as detailed as that.

    EXXELENT!

  • i tryed this in trampoline i can stand some 5 sec then i fail

i try on land then i fail immediately

    sory my bad english

  • @choosea44 - i think that u should not do it on a trampoline. dont worry, it will take time and LOADS of onsentration. so make sure no babies are around. lol

  • this is the most helpful handstand tutorial on the web - thank you soooo much for uploading this, i am already getting a little better and i watched this for the first time 10 minutes ago!

  • also.. perfect

  • hw long it took you to master handstand?

i've been practicing this really hard but this technique still havn't come to me.

any tips would be appreciated please..thx

  • @EzaddLeo93 Several years before i could hold it more than 2 or 3 seconds

  • @natcomber13 YEARS?!?!

  • @natcomber13 Several YEARS?...? 2-3 seconds? Thats really slow progress, but atleast youre persistent i see, you seem quite good now.

  • @natcomber13 Took me a month or two, but haven't done gymnsatics in years, had baaaad accident. training now again tho, good guide!

  • This is the best tutorial i've seen on youtube :D

  • my elbow and shoulder..i think my weight shifted to the lower part of my arm..and yeah...it hurts .....i haven't tried handstands yet...i don't plan to until it stops but your tutorial is great i just put my weight on the lower part of my arms..i didn't keep my arms straight.. so yeah =[

  • I tried handstands and I'm getting them ..you even helped me conquer my feer of the wall thing ..but ....my bones feel achey..not my muscles.... problem much? ..or if i wait will it go away ? .. lol

  • @furiousjuffowup fear*

  • @furiousjuffowup oh, which bones hurt?

  • @furiousjuffowup I had the same problem cuz I do Parkour and Freerunning, so a lot of vaults I do require lower arm strength. As you practice, it will go away, but the best thing to do before you continue is to stop and rest your forearms for like 3 days. Remember to flex and stretch them daily. Then, after the 3 days, go back to doing it, but start off slowly. Pain will decrease over time.

  • Best tutorial every in the history of gymnastics tutorials that i've seen ..well done : ) you are inspiring too : D

  • very awesome:) thanks a million. love the music

  • thx man that help me alot

  • Is your first handstand in slow motion? It looks like it is when you kick your legs down, the whiplash bend thing in your top leg looks too slow. It is seriously bothering me. The rest of the handstand could pass as normal speed, but it's the kickdown....

  • @SqueakyPanther Yes the first handstand is in slow motion, in reality I only held it for a couple of seconds :P

  • @natcomber13 Thought so. Me and my friend were having a little fight over that, and I for some reason have this dying need to be right. Thanks! I wasn't trying to be rude or anything, It was just bothering me. :)

  • This is perfect. Just what I needed. I like the way you presented the info. I need some practice but I feel like its within my grasp. Thanks for sharing!!!

  • WoW amazing man!!!

it helped me on my handstand and headstand amazing!!!

    your so great

  • like the principle mate..CHEERS!!! and thanks..

  • great tutorial but the "Music" if you can call it that way sucks :P

  • @Dinamo988 Oh guess what, not everyone in the entire world likes the same music as you, and why should they? It's entirely down to personal opinion, this isn't my first choice of song either, but I wanted something more instumental so that people weren't distracted when they were trying to read. If you really can't cope, then just turn the sound down!! I'm glad you liked the tutorial though

  • @natcomber13 i know that. but the thing starting on 0:45 sounds like an alien getting killed

  • @Dinamo988 Haha :P I don't agree but thats pretty funny

  • great idea about the principle thing, it really helped me understand it all. :D

  • thx.. love it

  • Best tutorial for ever :)

  • OK...after watching 10 tutorial videos...YOURS IS BY FAR THE BEST!!! THANKS!!!! I really appreciate it.

  • Great tutorial.

  • what would be an ideal way to use Powerballs? Like 7 minutes 3 days a week at 7000rpm?

oh, one other thing. I dont think I ever thanked you for helping me get my back tuck on trampolines, so thank you :)

  • Well done for youre backflips! As for the powerballs; same as any conditioning the ideal sets/time varies depending on the individuals strength; it should ache, thats as precise as I can be :P

  • @natcomber13 thanks man! I was wondering, can you do tutorials for back handsprings, the back lever and ariels?

    you the greatest dude ;)

  • Lol I have a backhandspring and aerial tutorial; I might do a abk lever tutorial but its just strngth really

  • I think my problem is the shape... perticular my shoulders... got any tips?

  • First try to do hand stand with wall support ...

u completely done with wall .. u able to do hand stand..without wall support :) sorry for my bed english :(

  • @martialartsrulez4me already doing that...

  • Here is something I ran across by accident. After practicing a handstand against a wall I tried a handstand in an open room. When I kicked up my feet grazed the ceiling and held me upright. I could hold the handstand for extended periods and develop strength and balance by releasing and re-applying my feet to the ceiling. I'm 6'1" and the ceiling is 6'11", a 13% difference. So look for a ceiling 13% taller than you to practice on, or make a platform to bring you closer to the ceiling.

  • Good idea!

  • you spelled practicing wrong...

  • Thanks...You're obviously pretty good too

  • Another thing that works for gaining hand/wrist strength is getting a job at a grocery store as a bagger tossing cans into bags all day. I did that and then participated in a hand strength study done at a local clinic. My readings were off the chart.

  • Interesting; I suppose it would work if you did it all day though

  • I worked as a bagger for 5 years and I didn't notice a difference in hand/wrist strength.

  • is good song what is this?(song)=)

  • Surface to air by Chemical Brothers

  • watched this yesterday and i can already hold a handstand for at least 5 seconds, before i could barely do 1 second!

    thanks!

  • well i learned it at home and uh... i broke a painting on the wall and uh... my vase.. actually that was my mum's but um... thx this video helped me :)

  • yeh good 4r parkour thanks see my vids give comments like ur tutorial helps me alot

  • great video 5/5*

  • i have a problem with balancing what am i doing wrong????

  • Probabably nothing it just takes ages :S Annoying I know

  • Cerra la faja campeon

  • ohh... thanks then..hha

  • do i need to mastered split first to master this?

  • Certainly not! You never do a split position in perfoming it so it is quite possible to do this with limited mobility in your legs

  • you know the handtand thats considered to have bad form. isnt that like so much easier to walk and do hand hops and stuff?

  • Possibly, it is certainly easier to balance

  • ty so much m8, i agree this is the best youtube tutorial ^^ 5/5 ok? :)

  • This is very qood , im on ah qreat start !
