  • oboe is hard

  • oboe is such a difficult instrument to play, but if you master it, it sounds wonderful. congratulations!

  • Very nice! What a sweet sounding instrument.

  • very good!!!! my adresse ( felicesciusciammocca) trumpet..

  • Have you ever listened to a professional oboe player? Because, you will never get there if you suck that much at age 15. I played that song when I was like 11 or 12. -_-

  • when you play the oboe when going down the scale is it like the clarinet you add fingers

  • This was my all region music in 7th grade. On saxophone.

    MEMORIES~~~~

  • NO WAY. I did this same solo when I was in seventh grade~ I was only 12 then, and despite my age, I got top points on it. Sounds pretty good, but I can tell she's nervous. I'm a freshman now, and I still get the jitters. :)

  • That was great. It's hard playing in front of people but she did real good!

  • This is my daughter. This was her very first solo... very nervous. haha Thanks for the comments.

  • Very good :D Keep it up!

  • Lol i play the oboe..wow your really tense. and you should practice wa more. not to be mean but it sounds painful. and shoulers down. your making it hard for yourself

  • You are great

But,please, when you are playing,KEEP SHOULDERS DOWN

I know it's hard, I have the same problem but try it,it will give you the more relaxing look on the stage =)

  • @MortheLxLovE I'm an oboe player.. and If you keep your shoulders down.. It's just harder to get the air though your windpipe.. She looks more professional with her shoulders up

  • @JessicaSaysHi1 Not true...

  • @Elcelahir True

  • @JessicaSaysHi1 Your air stream is down and you feel more comfortable while playing with your shoulders down. Look at professional oboe players performing.

  • im about the same level as you are lol. Keep practicing, its all we can do from here :P

  • chill. and practice more (:

  • you are great at the oboe i also play the oboe i hope to be as good as that some day and didn't your cheeks hurt so bad after that i know mine whould

  • @natapoo09 same, I've been told that the pain our cheeks should leave after a while... I seriously hope whoever told me that wasn't lying :P

  • Yeah I also noticed you are very tense and stiff while playing. Just relax your whole body including you mouth. Support like mad on those high notes and just let the notes flow from the oboe. I playing this for one of my juries and it can be a difficult piece. Keep it up!

  • great job heather! -touch it

  • You play in pitch and the tone is ok; however, the musical line is not RELAXED!

You are very tense which constricts the air flow and musicality of the exercise/composition.
