The clock flipping and the weather animation was one of the little things from HTC that really appealed to me. Sad to see they aren't used in the Hero.

just an FYI, you can save your UI layouts. so for example, if you wanted to do alot of browsing, you can change your sense UI to a saved "empty" layout, then you can go back and load your "normal" UI.

Also the clock that "flips" is available as an app from the market.
