I wonder what people in China thought about Gaara in Naruto who has a big tattoo on his face in chinese character says "love".

Well, even that character itself is a bit different.

@allgoo19 ... probably the same thing the Japanese did... chinese have simplified and traditional ways of writing. So, the same character can look different depending on the system they choose. Japanese versions of the chinese characters are usually traditional. 愛 is traditional, and how the japanese write it.

愛人は書面語といっても、この類似の言葉という恋人（lian ren)　使うの場合ももっと多い

まず、中国語の愛人という言葉は、今もよく使われていますよ。　書面語でもない。

次は、男朋友と 女朋友確かに、今も使われていますが、

その違いは、愛人＝妻or夫　（結婚後）　男朋友＝彼氏，女朋友＝彼女　（結婚前）　恋人＝他人から見る状態

漂亮的人很愛我 = pretty people love me

漂亮的我很愛人 = pretty me loves others
