this reminds me of my grandfather i never saw him my dad told me that when ww1 had started my grandfather went there and maybe after 1 week he had died from a machine gunner i only see him in pictures
My Great Grandfather fought at Villers Bretonneux the battlefield that turned the tide of the German Spring offensive. This song makes me imagine the shit he and his mates went through, and the lack of recognition he and his comerades recieve, Lest we Forget.
America should never have gotten involved in WW1 it was none of our business and it wasn't worth one American boys blood. Europeans started it they should have finished it ALONE.
Trully amazingly , one man who was 16-17 year old who drove ambulances still survives. He is Frank Buckes , now 109 years old , one of the last two surviving veterans
@LINAZAS Yea it is amazing, God Bless him. Its also sad though that after the two of them die, what happened in this war will be truely forgotten. My generation, doesn't care about what happened. its sad.
my step grand dad was a gunner in a spitfire aircraft in the front lines of WW2 he told me stories before he died about shooting down german aircraft....he had a book with black crosses in it i asked him wots that mean he sed every one of those crosses is a mate who didnt come home.
LETS SEE HOW DO I KNOW THAT, why don't you look up the movie The Battle of the Somme(1916) it says so in their, the movie was made during the war. So maybe before you go saying something is bullshit research it!
@ChriisoX Dude why are you calling bullshit, it says that in the British WWI Doc, "The Battle of the Somme" your probably calling bullshit for attention.
@Adawgrussian NOT! The education in the early 1900 was poor and that the times was accurate as hell is not true at all, this is ofc. my meaning of it. But you can say wathever you want. And I DO NOT! calling the British WW1 Doc. BS, I Am just saying that the time fo the soldier that got killed was stupid. So I am calling this chat finishd! I am not intersting to starting to argue over this anny longer.
not long ago ive returned fro iraq, where the danish army opperates along whit some uk troopers and american soldiers, and soon il go back agein, this song really makes me proud being a soldier, and makes me wanna help people, thanks for posting it man, good music, good vid^^
WW1 Generals did not in the early years, realize that "over the top" charges into MG fortified positions was mass murder, some, even at the end, still had not learned it. The lessons of the Civil war (trench warefare, rifled shots etc.) were not learned by the European leaders. Again as in the civil war, the Tactics were far behind the technology, to the death of a generation of men
my doctors grandfather wawounded by a french grenade he fought with the germans

I'd guess that the generation that was young during the second world war didn't care much about the american civil war either.
