  • Actually a govt. report released shows that women DO make the same as men. It's just that he's forgetting to point out that men work in more dangerous jobs, for longer hours.

  • PLEASE vote barack and pass it on. These videos don't get show during the farm report, so all those backassward midwesterners are still gonna vote like their families back in the appalachians.

  • obama is sexy

  • Barack Obama, you have my vote. God bless you.

  • how can the majority of the female clinton supporters just change their minds and vote for mccain?... it makes no sense to me at all

  • He is the right one.

  • Here's a riddle for all you gals who think women get paid less for equal work.

If I'm a business man, and I can hire a woman to do the same work as a man and pay her 75% of what I'd have to pay her male counterpart, why would I throw my money away on the overpriced man?

It would make absolutely no sense to hire a man when a woman would do the same job for less money.

And if I didn't hire all the women I could find, my competition would. And they would price me out of the market.

    Duhhhh!!!!!!

  • Your missing that point that most people don't know how much other employees are making for doing the same job. As a consultant I can tell you that MOST companies have rules against sharing payroll information, including immediate termination for providing this information.

  • More lawsuits to be payed by tax payers

  • I think you're missing the point. For example: If johnny and sarah both make 100 benches per week but Johnny gets payed more simply because he is a male then that is gender discrimination and is unconstitutional. Of course, torture is also unconstitutional but our government continues to uphold the practice. Following your own logic,if you have not been tortured we must not be torturing people right? WRONG! just because it's not in your experience doesn't mean it's not happening to someone else.

  • im view 10000!!!!... its actually at 9999!

go obama... this 15 year old canadian has your support!

  • That is why he says equal pay for equal work xYxYxYxYxYx

  • I dont buy it for a second. The women where I work get paid just as well as the men.

If everyone gets equal pay when they're not producing equal work, thats communism.

For example: If Johnny can make 100 wooden benches in a week, but Harry can only make 75 wooden benches in a week, Shouldn't Johnny get paid more than Harry??? I think so, and If a new girl, Barbara, comes in and blows away both, making 125 benches a week, then she should get paid the most. Pay by production.

  • AWESOME! WOMEN GET PAID EQUAL WHERE YOU WORK!

All places should be as cool as where you work.

  • women are getting paid less, 80 cents to the dollar a man makes for the exact same job. It's a fact.

  • Going by your standards, you'd find it difficult to swallow that someone with a physical disability is earning the same as someone who is able bodied for the same work. Is that communism? Or is just valuing people as individuals.

  • He's not talking about giving everyone the same amount of pay--that would be communism. He is speaking on giving equal pay, meaning that whether you are a minority or a female, you will still recieve the same amount of pay that everyone who works in that field recieves.

  • it depends on where you live.

he go around the country and listen to ppl.

women all over our nation are tellin him this.

he's not makin it up, he's listenin to our voices.

  • But, xYxYxYxYxYx, millions of people's realities prove that's not the way it works in the real world. Whether you "buy it" or not, the reality is much much different from the theory. Women and minorities, generally, receive less pay for equal production.

  • Just shut up and make the benches Johnny. I'm kidding. That makes a kind of sense, but are we talking wages or salary? I don't know. I'm just gonna go ahead with equal pay. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm just gonna move foreward, and you know, just hope that I'll be ok. P.S. Johnny would get promoted if he was that damn good. Equal pay yes, but that's just common since, promoting Johnny. Give him an extra nickle. Am I right? Whatever.

  • Obama is the real deal.

  • everyone in the audience looks braindead

  • Lol true that.

  • Obama would do well to just ignore Hilary completely and just focus on campaigning against McCain

  • please if there are any Indianians reading this comment Obama wining this nomination is inevitable please just vote for the obama to end this sooner rather than later. If your for hillary vote for obama anyways he will probably keep her as his running-mate please vote and end this race.Hillarys got that if im going down your going down with me mentality

  • It's all about doing the right things instead of doing things right!!!

Barack names what is missing... stand up and let's change it... Obama 08

  • Thee were tooo many scandals under the Clinton campaign. There were 900,000 foreclosures in March. We need change not more scandals from a liar(Clinton).

    OBAMA 2008!

  • Did you see that the republicans blocked it? 4 votes short of the 60 needed for a vote. The only repugs that didn't vote against it are the ones in tight reelection battles. Funny that. So, just to be clear, Rebumblekins are NOT in favor of protecting women's rights to equal pay

  • The far left wing of our party had better and is starting to pay attention to Hillary, because their candidate cannot win the general election. He has way too many questionable relationships and, quite frankly, scares the rest of "US" to death. Wake up Democrats, Independents and Reagan Democrats, America needs Hillary! Obama is finally being identified as the "empty suit" he is. He can't win with us the mainstream of America. Clearly, Hillary can win with "US"! Think Democrats, think.

  • BARACK OBAMA 2008!!!

    Her Problem -

Clinton this week embarks upon a furious fundraising effort in order to shore up the shaky finances of her presidential campaign. The task was made easier by her victory in the April 22 Pennsylvania primary; her campaign claims that she raised approximately 2.5 million dollars over the internet immediately after the result was announced, and 10 million over three days. Yet her financial position is far more distressed than her campaign is willing to admit.

  • If women were paid less for equal work, it would be a win-win for companies because:

they get to pay less for equal work.

Thus, they would hire all women in order to save money. What is the dominant theme? More money or discrimination?

  • I disagree on this one with Senator Obama. There are several factors that are at play as to why women might not get the same pay. Women take more sick leave, family leave etc. Research now (New York Times) show that women in their 20-30 out earning their male counterparts in 2008. Also, women graduate 3 times as much compared to men. A woman, who puts the same amount of time as a man, does get paid equally. There's no discrimination.

  • government ensured economic equity is an injustice to those who are qualified and work hard.. laws like this end up biting back..it will hurt those who own small businesses with alot of manual labor

  • I think an Obama/Pelosi ticket would be really great! I love Nancy Pelosi! She is trustworthy and honorable---Not like Hillary!

The people voting on Hillary are only voting for her because she is a woman!

  • Obama is one of those people that you know you can trust just by looking at them.

He's the face of honesty in this election.

I can see Barack stepping up and taking full responsibility for any mistakes that he may make.

Hillary...not so much; much less McCain.

  • Hillary does not have a chance to beat Mccain, all Mccain has to say is you voted for the war.

  • i love you obama..

  • OBAMA Needs not to Mudsling with a compulsive liar.. Mommy always Told Us to Kill them with Kindness.

    Brush those shoulders off.

    WE CAN Rock with Barack!

    OBAMHURRAY

  • Greetings Mr. Obama.

Hillary Clinton is a street fighter. I'm from Detroit and you've been around Chicago long enough. We both know that the only way to keep a street fighter down is to KNOCK THEM OUT!

That's the job of the people of Indiana and if they only manage to knock her down, trust and believe North Carolina's gonna knock her the...uh...yeah...out!

You just keep getting ready for McCain! Oh and when you're the nominee, please come to Michigan first, more specifically Southfield!

  • did he steal this speech to?

  • to what?

  • why do u have a better one

  • Obama is a representation of the REAL American people!

  • Just hit the nursing homes and senior centers in Indiana! Ask for questions and ask about their concerns. My family is from Indiana and they are very practical folk. They want to know exactly how things are going to be. If they sense you are telling the truth, they will back you, whether they agree or don't agree. These people can smell truth a mile away and they can take it!

    Go Obama!

  • obama we're working hard to get you there!!

  • Lets do this!!!

  • The bill doesn't decrease the inequalities in pay. It just makes it easier to sue. Opposing that is not the same as opposing equal pay.

  • You're right.{1} Opposing that bill, in essence, opposes an individual's right to protect himself from unequal pay. It is in opposition to the basic American right to stand on your rights and to assert your rights in the courts. {1}To decrease inequalities in pay would restrict the freedom to contract - a completely unconstitutional venture.

  • Obama, please debate Hillary. Are you afraid?

  • politicalmind, Senators Obama & Clinton have had nearly 25 debates what would yet 'another' debate do but bore us Democrats and the American people to tears!! We need to wrap this thing up and deal with McCain! Indiana vote Obama, Clinton and her staffers think Indiana doesn't count and have called good, hardworking Indianans, "white nig#ers!" SHAME!!!

  • It is sad to see that Old people and uneducated people of the United States of America are deciding the faith of our future. God help us.

  • Do not worry man I am from Indiana and canvassing for Obama as hard as I can, im pretty sure hes going to win.

  • Do not worry man I am from Indiana and I am canvassing as hard as I can for Obama, I am pretty sure hes going to win.

  • Equal pay for everybody. It couldn't be simpler. Indiana vote for real change in Washington. Vote Obama!

  • VOTE OBAMA

  • Obama would make an awesome president in 50 years from now when the world is more ideal.

  • I love you Obama, you are the best !!

  • The Dems, Hilary and Barack, have got to nail McCain on this issue. This is big.

  • We cannot allow the Billary campaign to continue the kitchen sink strategy without answering back. I know Barack wants to maintain a positive campaign but how much can one take before it's time to hit back? We need to put her record of dishonesty on the air waves, print and news media, big time !!! more than 50% of america already feels she's dishonest. We need to work with that number..because if the tables were turned, she wouldnt waste one second to kill us with that.

  • We know who is out of touch.

  • I am absolutely stunned. The Republicans are so desperate and afraid of Obama that they are using the Rev. Wright thing again in a new ad. This is so frustrating, they are saying lies and want to influence the voters anyway they can. How low and how dirty can you get? Is this how the Republicans want their candidate to win the Presidency? This is America not some third world country.

  • Come on Indiana, make us proud! Show the Democratic Party who the RIGHT choice is! I am a Republican who spent the last 5 years writing to McCain and urging him to run for President every time I got mad at Bush, and I AM going to vote for Obama now if/when he gets the nomination. If someone like me, who believed in McCain so completely can be swayed, then Dems surely should be able to see the value of this man. He is remarkable, Hillary is just pushy. I want THIS GUY to lead our nation!

  • If the Dem party gives up on Barack we will give up on the Party.Independent Baby, with Al Gore as Vice President!

What do you think about that Mr.Dean?

  • thank you thank you thank you.

Newfound HOPE is such a welcome gift to discover, and it is torturous that it should feel so endangered.

Obama is the most honest, inspiring, & exceptional candidate I have known in my lifetime. This 38 yr old white male in FL can't wait to cast my vote in the General Election for BARACK OBAMA 08!!

    P E A C E

  • well said mate atm obama is really the best option

  • John McCain, was one of the first people of character to state interest in the presidency is my adult life. The policies and aspects of how he has aligned are absolutely against my common beliefs as an American.

We seem similar in our discovery. Obama is the leader we need, at a moment where we need him most.

America is talking to one another again in a unified way. I believe the good people of Indiana will also hear what we have come to know.

  • Bravo! I have detected the same sentiment in David Brooks, Joe Scarbororough, Pat Buchanan. I hope you have seen his Cooper Union Speech. If Republicans can come together with Dems to get behind a United Nation - I'll vote for the next qualified Republican - compared to the above he's not quite as heavyweight - but I have backed Schwarzenegger over Angelides and I come from a 100% dem family back to all 4 of my grandparents.

  • I agree totally with you on this one! All the talking puppet-heads on all the cable networks have decided to swindle the American people and to make us look like non-thinking poor sheeps!. They turned the primaries into a class war; dividing our nation with everything they can think of & hoping we'll take the bate as Ohio & RacistVania have done. Please, don't fall for the tricks of divide & conquer tactics of the SUPER RICH!

  • how could anyone not vote for this guy!

  • Amen. The only people I can think of are the Lobbyists, Big Business, and the Racists.

  • I could if I live in the States.

  • I love you, Obama. You have my vote, Mr. President.

  • why do you love obama so much?

  • OBAMA 08

  • FIRST COMMENT

  • ...nope, Try Again.

  • obama 08

  • 1st comment woot

  • alright Barack, you're gonna have to play dirty and win already. it doesn't matter if she plays dirty, in this political landscape only winning counts.

  • To jodahs. There is no need to play dirty. Obama is winning in pledged delegates and popular vote. The Americans loose when we decide there is no other way to win than playing dirty. That does not mean to stay silent, as an Obama supporter you should have your facts on hand and speak loudly.

  • He can't and won't play dirty. The end cannot by itself justify the ends. The means must be justified in themselves. It's about integrity. If that is lost, so is his ultimate advantage. None of the other candidates have even a fraction of his integrity.

It is essential that Obama supporters raise their voices, respectfully and with great lucidity.

    Peace! OBAMA 08!

  • yeah, hes gonna have to counterattack sometime...he doesnt even have to play dirty really

  • I believe in a way you are right, he has to show the fortitude that she needs to go.

Its time we start getting to work as well. Its our change he is carrying, and he shouldnt carry it alone. Im tired of politicians who make us weaker, and drown us.

This man has built a team, and I know he can count on us, and we can count on one another.

    Its our fight too.

  • Did you just completely miss the main point of this campaign? He's taking the high road so he doesn't have to get knee-deep into political BS, and people are liking being addressed as intelligent beings as opposed to sheep.

  • He hasn't been playing dirty and he's won 30 out of 45 contests, leads in the delegate count and in the popular vote. He doesn't have to stoop to her level.

  • yes Barack you go Mr president..we all love you here in New York..I'm voting for you you are the best show everyone who you are and what you have as a president and a wonderful one for sure...yes we can Obama
