@thanatos241 That's probably shooting a .38 special. In most cowboy action shooting you have to chamber your rifle in the same caliber as your pistol. It could also be one of the older cartridges like 32-20 that have relatively little recoil in the rifles.

what surprises me when people say they have NO kick is the thinking that you can control that explosion. Regardless of how little powder is being used the weapon is going to move upon firing and your 2nd shot isn't going to be in the same place as your first if you don't resight.
